Seaspray Yeppoon

the location is superb. right on the beach. perfect to enjoy sunrise and sunset lights over the Rocks. Walking along at low tide looking for creatures and shells. the refurbished units are very well appointed. the bleu and white nautical theme really suits. we stayed and week and will be back.

Beachfront location about 20 mins walk to Yeppoon town centre. Units are spacious and fully equipped. Decor is basic but everywhere was clean. Grounds around the Units are neat and well maintained. Brian was helpful and friendly. Lovely cafés in town for brekkie, Lure living or Citrus, which is where we dined, delicious and great service.

Arrived, super small space and parking. Key was under mat in front of rainbow barn door. Walked inside, super small and tight, very old & dirty.. beach was just outside our door but can’t risk it to get stung by blue bottles or eaten by crocodiles. I’m never coming back 👎

The view was beautiful and it was handy to town but that was it. We were on the 5th floor and 2 of the 3 nights we had to walk up the 5 flight of stairs to get to our room. Our friends were on the 8th floor and had to carry two babies and their luggage up to the 8th floor. The next day we met a family whose child would not get into the lift after being traumatized from being caught in the lift when it stopped part way to their 8th floor room. Complaints were made to the management but didn't even answer our call. The receptionist was very sympathetic but the manager couldn't care less. We tried to get a refund for our last night as we were over walking up 5 flights of stairs but was told it wasn't their policy. Going by reviews it sounds like this has been going on from at least last December and still not fixed. So long as they have their customers they are happy no matter about the safety of the public. We were notified late in the afternoon the day before we moved in that the lift was having problems but no refunds for cancellation were allowed. It is not on that visitors should have to walk their luggage up to 8 floors. They advertise there is a bar and breakfast is available. It is a shame as this could be a nice place to stay but unfortunately the management has no respect for it's customers.

Seaspray is in a fairly retro building, that has been part modernised and is quite quaint. We loved the half-height doors. The owner Blossom clearly cares about the place and was very friendly. The facilities were very clean. There are good laundry facilities, with 2 outdoor washing lines, and the place is directly on the beach. It is a short drive from Yeppoon's shops and the lagoon. The only thing made may reduce the rating from 5 to 4 stars is that some of the air conditioners are noisy, and one (from a different room) was causing deep bass vibrations to the internal wall on room 1 which affected my sleep.
