"A beautiful little hotel, I think there are only 6 rooms though. All staff were on hand for any queries and help in any way they can. During my stay it was lovely and sunny and they have an outdoor area idea for a while in the sun 😂. If you have any sort of disability and find it difficult to climb stairs this place is probably not for you, no lift in the hotel and all rooms are upstairs, the car park is at the back of the hotel with steps up to the hotel that has a hand rail but the few steps into the hotel doesn’t. I was in room 6, 3 lots of stairs to negotiate but the view was spectacular."

"A fabulous family week at this wonderful location right on the banks of Coniston. We managed a proper Swallows and Amazons adventure, sailing down to Wild Cat (Peel) Island and climbing The Old Man of Coniston. The farm is perfectly placed for all adventures, and we were so well looked after. Fabulous hosts, great breakfasts, an amazing bbq pack and an excellent Sunday roast. We will definitely plan to return!"

"Bluebird Lodge is a great place to stay. We have stayed in a room previously and this time an apartment. Both are very clean and the apartment well equipped ( home from home). The breakfasts are excellent, great choice. Tracy and Michael are lovely hosts so friendly and welcoming."

"Booked self catering which gave the best of both worlds.Cooked for ourselves when we preferred , and had farmhouse meals when we wished.The farmhouse meals were all superb,and the owners and staff very helpful and friendly.The cottage was clean,well appointed,comfy and had spectacular views up the lake.Will book again."

"Booked to stay here as we were attending the bonfire and firework display at Coniston Sports and Social Club, and wanted to stay local, in an independent B&B. The location was spot on, a short walk to the town centre, and to the lake itself. The room was clean, and the bed was nice and roomy! A full bathroom is always nice, with a shower over a bath, just what you need after a day's walking! Tracy and Michael are great hosts, very knowledgeable of the area, and things to do, places to eat. Breakfast was a good selection of cereal/fruit/cooked items, with fresh coffee bubbling away. Parking on site is always a bonus, and would stay here again if in Coniston."
