The Sea Resort Haad Rin
"We loved the location, near to the beautiful Haad Rin beach, the pool and being next to the sea. Free use of the kayaks and stand up paddle boards was a plus. They also help to organise a shared taxi to the pier for 200 baht which was very convenient. Unfortunately, we found the services lacking. We were told at check in, if we wanted the rooms cleaned to inform reception. We asked for the bins to be emptied but it never happened. The breakfast was fine, option of eggs, a different cooked option each day (pad se ew, rice and pasta during our stay), salad, fruit and mainly white bread (the final day there was brown bread). We would have rathered a Thai option each day. The main problem we encountered was the bar next to us having a party with loud, thumping music until 4am. This is not for the faint hearted, if you get a room beside the pool, it literally vibrates the room. Even earplugs wouldn't cover it. Further, the people at the party were using the pool, this was during the early hours also. At 2am, I complained to the manager and he let us move to a quieter room to sleep. This was a 'premium' room, further from the beach, it smelt of damp and sewage. But with little choice to get sleep before our ferry the next day we felt it was our only option."

"Very nice hotel with clean rooms and pool area, a respectable pool side menu for food and drinks, a 7-11 directly opposite the hotel. Less than a 5 minute walk to all the bars, restaurants and beach so close enough to walk to everything but not so in the middle of everything that you cant sleep at night. They do significantly hike up the price of the rooms for the full moon party night but you can understand it, every hotel does the same. If I ever visit Koh Phangang again I would stay here"

Usually, 2 bottles of water per day distributed but this year, forgotten for 4 days. very quiet residence. On the other hand, no secure safe, and I arrived with a new Samsung tablet in a box, I left without it!!! and supposedly no one found it...."

The location is perfect—close to a small, charming village that was exactly what we needed. We enjoyed the local laundry services, great restaurants, massages, bars, and of course, the best mango sticky rice in a wonderful, authentic atmosphere. We want to give a special shout-out to Ping, our service coordinator, who stayed in close touch with us. We felt like we were in the best hands; she was always smiling and so eager to help. In fact, the entire hotel staff is incredibly friendly and welcoming. We will definitely be returning!"

But overall good stay-lady on reception very kind/friendly and allowed me early check in. Would stay here again for the price"

"This was our second time staying at this hotel. This visit, we got bungalow COCO 8. It's located right next to the road, so you can sometimes hear the noise of passing traffic. The bungalow itself is generally good, but there's one issue: a large gap under the door lets insects into the room. There's a mosquito net above the bed, but it's a bit worn out with holes in places, so there's a chance of getting bitten by mosquitoes... The food is tasty and reasonably varied. There's a nice pool with a pleasant sea view. The pier is also within easy walking distance."

"About 10 years ago, this was a luxurious hotel. Overall, it's a pleasant hotel with a nice sea view, but the furniture, appliances, and plumbing are all showing their age. There was no hot water, and it never came on, even after letting it run for 10 minutes as suggested by the front desk."
