We stayed here as part of our trip via Rickshaw Travel/Heritage expediciones for 1 night. Our room (no 7) was comfortable and well furnished and quiet. Breakfast was good with a few choices plus a fruit plate and bread basket. We also had lunch (Mumbai sandwich and healthy bowl) which were tasty and standard price. The staff were very helpful and allowed us to have a shower and change before leaving for the airport after checking out. We would recommend this accommodation

Not sure which hotel R.Ray was staying in but it can’t have been here! A beautiful hotel in a lovely quiet location. Spotlessly clean, very attentive staff & amazing freshly prepared food. Can’t fault this little gem. Thank you for making our introduction to Sri Lanka so special.

:( Highly recommended by local friends in Colombo, Taru Villas' Lake Lodge fails to achieve the bare minimum expected from a Sri Lankan luxury boutique brand. I would like to start with the best aspect of my stay - breakfast! I sense that this property has a great kitchen. The local dishes served (pol roti, chicken curry and a fresh fruit platter) were exquisite. The rooms are relatively small but quite comfortable. The cons far outweigh the pros, however. Funnily enough, there is a shortage of plug points in the rooms. I have shared photos. I would urge patrons to avoid both the rooms I was assigned. Room 10 is directly below the laundry room, a room where one is awoken by the loud sounds of footsteps and shutting doors as early as 8am. I was then moved to room number 2 which is located near a toilet frequented by patrons of the property's restaurant and visitors in general. Generally speaking, the service is quite lackluster. Certain members of the housekeeping and front desk team lack basic hospitality training. Tiron or Terron (excuse my spelling), for instance, was extremely rude. Had a very comfortable stay at The Nyne. Rooms are very clean, stylishly decorated with comfortable public areas to lounge. The staff was very courteous and looked after us very well. The food was exceptional… we didn’t feel the need to step out during our very short stay.

Some years ago we chanced upon this boutique hotel and it has since become our choice accommodation for our yearly trips to Colombo. The furnishings, decor and artwork are eclectic. The kitchen serves top quality and delicious meals but what makes this feel like home are the staff. Unobtrusive, polite, helpful and friendly it is always service with a smile and with pride. Ramesh, Sampath, Ravi Senna, Ravi Chandran, Glenn, Charmath and the rest of the staff made our recent stay there unforgettable. Thank you so much!

Very friendly staff, clean and spacious room, delicious food! It's a quiet, peaceful place, located in the middle of Colombo where you feel relaxed right after getting out of the car. What a nice experience for our first 2 days in Sri Lanka. Thank you for this very warm reception in your country!!

A hidden oasis in Colombo where you will be absolutely spoilt with Sri Lankan hospitality. Located in a quiet cul-de-sac, this gorgeous boutique hotel, excellent service and delicious food choices from an extensive menu. The rooms are tastefully appointed.

Very peaceful & quaint lodge in the middle of Colombo with very comfortable rooms & excellent food . The staff is very friendly & courteous and attends to all your needs with a smile . Would highly recommend this place to who ever planning to stay in Colombo city All the good malls are nearby and easily accessible from the lodge by a tuk tuk or taxi .

This was first night in Sri Lanka and it was extremely comfortable. It's in an excellent location in the heart of Colombo. The first thing that struck us were the artworks around the hotel. A very pleasant bar and restaurant area. Our room was very comfortable, with an amazing bathroom. The staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful, and we had a delicious breakfast. This is a lovely boutique hotel, in total contrast to the many impersonal chain hotels in the city.
