My friend and I stayed in the Seaview Hotel for five days in February 2023. We picked this hotel due to them having a partnership with the dive centre next door which we had booked a Scuba Diving course with. This got us a preferential rate, and was incredibly handy for our course as we only had to step out of the door and walk 10 metres to start our courses in the morning! The hotel itself is clean and modern, having been rebuilt only a couple of years ago. The lobby when you walk in is spacious and inviting, and the front of house staff are always present and helpful. We never had to wait to speak to anyone, and our regular requests for lots of tea bags and milk we always dealt with graciously! On arrival, the hotel amenities and times etc were all explained well, and we felt really welcome. The hotel room itself was great, very spacious. I believe we had been given a wheelchair accessible room, despite not needing one - this did mean we had a lot of room (which was great!), but it also meant that the bathroom had modifications which were needlessly annoying for an able-bodied person. Namely, due to the presence of the support to allow a wheelchair user to comfortably move to the toilet, the usual shower screening had been removed. As the bathroom had (an otherwise excellent) rain shower, it meant that water ended up pretty much everywhere regardless of how careful you were. One day we opted not to have the room cleaned as we didn't need anything new, and as a result the bathroom started to smell musty due to the extractor fans not being sufficiently strong enough to dry the room out, even with us mopping most of it up with a towel. Otherwise though it was a brilliant room. Plenty of power sockets, and options of different levels of light accessible from the bed. We had a side sea view, west facing - which meant we had a beautiful view over the bay, and sun for a long period in the afternoon. The terrace was spacious enough to sit out, and also dry our towels and gear from diving. Definitely worth the extra few pounds over the internal facing rooms. Breakfast was really good and well attended to by friendly staff. A great selection of different options was available from a large buffet self-serve area. Hot cooked breakfast items were great, they kept the main options constant (sausages, bacon, scrambled eggs, beans) and varied the sides from day to day. Meatballs in tomato was a nice addition actually! On the cold side, there was a good range of breads, preserves and a decent selection of cured meats and cheeses. Cereal was also available, as was (very tasty) yoghurt and fruit salad options. At the back there was a fresh cooked section, which varied by day - usually providing some form of freshly cooked egg option, and a dessert option - I enjoyed the churros on my final day, but I found the pancakes rather too floury and stodgy. Opposite this there was a display of pastries, cakes and biscuits too, which also rotated depending on the day.
