Holiday Inn BRISTOL - FILTON by IHG ★★★★

📍 Filton Rd, Bristol

"Hotel was ideally located for our weekend trip, and was very welcoming with a fast check in process. Parking was only £5 for a 24hour period so great value for money compared to other hotels. Room was lovely, bed very comfortable and spotlessly clean throughout. Bathroom was immaculate and nicely decorated and came with Dove handwash and shampoo/shower accessories which was a lovely touch. Although there wasn't a fridge, we had a kettle and tea/coffee making facilities along with ironing board, hairdryer, extra pillows and a large TV with Netflix. Slept wonderfully...very peaceful and great black out curtains. Breakfast was amazing. Great choice of hot and cold products...plenty of choice and food was hot! Lady who greeted us in restaurant was extremely helpful and asked about allergies. My friend has a nut allergy, so the member of staff proceeded to explain about which products to avoid. This was extremely helpful and essential. This put my friend at ease immediately. The bar are and restaurant again were exceptionally clean and tidy. Decor and seating in bar area was very tasteful and comfortable. Our checkout process was very quick and easy. Over all a very welcoming and comfortable stay. Would definitely stay here again and recommend highly to others Thank you for a lovely stay 🙂"

📍 Marsh Street, Bristol

"I highly highly recommended this hotel we tried this one for the first time instead of where we'd usually stay due to difference in price but wow we were shocked, hotel staff especially the guy who checked us in was so nice and professional and friendly, the room is very spacious and comfortable bed, Aircon is amazing especially with this heat, up on 9th floor, there's shops within walking distance also if need of snacks or drink late at night. We would stay here every time we come Bristol now love this place nothing to say that was bad as there was not anything bad! 5 stars perfection Thank you so much!"

📍 3 Temple Way, Bristol

"We stayed for two nights recently. Everything about the hotel was right but we particularly liked the room. It was spacious, comfortable and clean. The decor was modern but not too minimalist. All fittings were in good condition and the heating and air-conditioning worked. We did not eat at the hotel as there are nice cafes etc very close by and a proper pub just up to road. The hotel is not in the very centre of Bristol but it's close to everything. Ideal for us. A subsidised car park is only a five minute walk away. All staff were friendly and helpful too. We will stay again."

"Sunday night after visiting friends, we went to city centre looking for this hotel…however we couldn’t get near it because there were road blocks here and there. We drove up and down city centre main road four times…in the end we gave up and went straight home. It was so exhausted and frustrating when we finally reached home in South! Never again we will choose a hotel without car park any more in future !!"

"Location ideal, but car parking is annoying, we parked in Trenchard and got charged £40 for 24hours. Lovely room and hotel. Spa is cute but smaller than expected, so try and book in advance if you can. We had to pay £10 each extra to use the spa for one hour. So if you want longer than that or to go to the spa in the evening and morning you get charged per hour which isn’t ideal. Everybting else was great, lovely room, comfy bed, etc. I didn’t eat there so can’t comment on that"

"The waiter was very nice, the room was small, the location was very good, very close to the University of Bristol, and the warm thing was that you could see fruits on the table as soon as you entered the room. Be sure to book in advance, the price is different every day, and the price fluctuates greatly when school starts in September."

"Overall a good experience. Slight disappointment was the dining. We were a group of 8 and the best comment was the food was okay - needed more flavor or over cooked. Breakfast however was very good."

"On arrival the customer service was not great as initialy we called the hotel before arriving, we were told parking is free but got charged £5 when checking in. The worst part was showers, shower nozzle was broken and no hot waster, after informing the reception about the issue, we were told the boiler needs to be turned on. Waited 39 minutes but had no response. We had to have a cold shower on a cold rainy day which was not convenient resulting in falling ill. Never going to stay here again."
