Hotel Cavour

Great location. Staff lovely albeit non existent. Room was tired but spotless and cleaned daily with clean towels daily. No tea/coffee in room which we missed. Shower fantastic in a very large toilet. Room had three deep stairs from hallway where toilet and wardrobes were down to bed area. Walls marked quite badly. But bed was comfortable and clean. Breakfast wasn’t good at all. But location of hotel is so central to piazza Maggiore which is a five min walk. We would use hotel again but wouldn’t take the breakfast.

L’hotel è in centro e quindi in posizione estremamente strategica. Temevo anche per questo motivo che fosse molto rumoroso, invece la stanza dava sull’interno e, grazie all’aria condizionata, ho potuto tenere le finestre chiuse e non sentire alcun rumore. La stanza poi era ben arredata, soprattutto pulita e nuova! Altrove, per lo steso periodo mi proponevano prezzi ben più alti e temevo quindi che l’hotel avrebbe avuto qualche tipo di “intoppo”, invece l’ho trovato perfetto.

Stayed here for a night. Located near a main Street but quiet location. Easy walk from the train station. I travel light and have a light bag, however if you get a room on the third floor keep in mind the elevator only goes up to the 2nd floor. Overall clean convenient place but I generally prefer locations that are less touristy. Also staff are friendly and I enjoyed the breakfast at the hotel.

1 star Subject: Unsatisfactory Breakfast Experience at Cavour Hotel I regret to share my disappoin**ent regarding the breakfast experience at Cavour Hotel in Bologna. Despite the hotel's commendable aspects such as its environment, cleanliness, and location, our breakfast was overshadowed by the rude and impolite behavior of two specific staff members. While staying with two families, totaling five children, we encountered unhelpful attitudes from these individuals when requesting snacks for the kids during breakfast. Their lack of assistance and apparent disregard for our needs significantly detracted from an otherwise positive stay at your establishment. I hope this feedback prompts necessary attention to improve the breakfast service, ensuring that future guests enjoy a more pleasant and accommodating start to their day.

What a fabulous hotel, so warm, so clean, so convenient, close to everything in Bologna, piazza Maggiore only a few minutes away, perfect place to start in the city, only a 20 minute walk to the station, breakfast had everything you could want, the coffee was first class, brilliant find on booking .com, thank you all at hotel Cavour

Although my room was large, and I had some sort of access to an overlooked yard, my experience at this hotel is not as good as it used to be. The bed lacked a duvet and I was quite cold, the heating was off even though I turned it up. The toilet from upstairs flushes in the corner making it very noisy when someone uses the bathroom upstairs. Some of the staff seem very unhappy in their job and are almost rude at reception. No genuine smile in sight but it rather seems they mostly hate their jobs. There were a couple of exceptions but most of the women seemed miserable. Because of the rain there were no taxis but instead of explaining, she got more and more defensive. It’s the first time that we thought of going elsewhere despite staying in one of the more modern rooms. Some of my colleagues stayed in very outdated ones. Sad as this used to be so much friendlier!

The hotel is very elegant, chic, clean. Balanced and tasty breakfast. The staff is kind, friendly and helpful. Location in the center, on a quiet and clean street, close to the tourist attractions and good restaurants.
