El albergue estaba impecablemente limpio. Fue muy fácil conocer a gente nueva y hacer amigos. Ofrecen desayuno y cena, que son absolutamente deliciosos, aunque a veces tienden a olvidar tu pedido. Sin embargo, estos pequeños inconvenientes no opacaron mi experiencia. En general, tuve una estancia increíble, la cual recomendaría sin dudarlo. La atmósfera era cálida y acogedora, añadiendo un encanto especial a mis días allí.

A lot of hostels in Bogota are a little worn around the edges. This place is a dream. If you are on a budget or not, deftinitely consider staying here. The staff are friendly and helpful, the australian owner is a perfectionist and its in a great location to see the sights. Its brand new, when we were there they were about to open a bar at the front but don't worry, the walls between the music and the bedrooms are super thick and you won't hear a thing.

Feel safe booking your stay at the Croc. Great location in Bogota that you can walk to for all of your dining and partying needs. The hostal is super clean with nice sized private rooms. The common area has a decent breakfast for you to choose from as well group dinners every night which are very well priced and very good. On Fridays they serve some fancy drinks with dinner for cheap. The owner is extremely helpful in all ways and the desk staff are also very good. Wifi works well and there are computers you can rent outside the TV room. Overall, a great hostal to stay at for a great price. Hope that helps and feel free to message us if you have any questions. I arrived in Bogota to study Spanish and to see Bogota. Through this site I understood it was a great hostel. That's it for many people i think. If you are young (or not), love going out, drinking, *****, then it's great. Such an atmosphere hung there when I staid there. Not many ladys, many drinking young man (inglish, american). But at the other hand, didn't meet many woman travellers through all of Colombia. The hostel looks pretty amazing. My room was small and I regretted that there was no shower in my room. Such rooms are available, but a few. It was very cold. In Colombia, no one has a heater! My room is adjacent to the open air, so it was extra cold. What I liked was that at night a door was closed at the bar area. Then you could sleep well. There is a kitchen, internet and TV area. The hostel is nearly always full so book early! The breakfast is only after 9 0 clock, so if you want to start early in the morning, not useful. It is located in a nice neighborhood, within walking distance of the bus, Montserrat around the corner etc. The staff is nice, but because it is large, they have little personal interest. You are one of many. I felt a little lonely on my own. It was too big and poky to quickly gain insight into fellow travelers. A bit of every man for himself. After a week I moved, not my thing.

We were in the private room with shared bathroom until another couple showed us their brand new renovated private room with private bath that was $30,000 COP more or $10 USD. No photos on the site yet so see photos in the post. Rooms 204 & 205 have the best views of both Monserrat and the new Bacata/tallest building. It was like a luxury hotel for Hostel price! Love the atmosphere here, the cleaning staff is diligent and Isabella the night desk clerk is such a sweetheart and wonderful to interact with. Great location, cheap and decent breakfast, great place to meet other travelers and learn of things to do in the area. Free walking tours everyday, great cheap way to learn about the city and hang with other travelers. Hangout room separated by 2 separate double doors so easy to get rest while others have fun, or visa versa. Security is great with a hired guard. Highly recommend, wouldn't think of searching for another Hostel when we return next year. Side note, the Crazy Mongolian Restaurant across the street is amazing! Thanks to all for a wonderful stay.

Situated right in the Calandaria area, you find a bank around the corner (600m), Botero museum 4 blocks away. Breakfast not included - and a bit pricy, but the omelette is fantastic! Expect to pay COP 25000 (or more) for taxi to/from bus terminal.

This was one of the friendliest places that I ever stayed. Situated in the heart of Candelaria, the oldest district of Bogota this is the perfect spot for exploring the city and its beautiful hinterland. The staff are so welcoming and will remember your name and spend time talking - in my case a mixture of English and broken Spanish. The hostel organised taxis for me to and from the airport and both taxis were punctual and efficient. I would love to return some day.

Hands down one of my fave hostels i’ve stayed at. I spent a week at the Cranky Croc. This place has a great vibe. The communal spaces are ideal for chatting and meeting fellow travellers and i definitely met some lovely people during my week there. I stayed in the King Suite which is a private room with a private bathroom. Room 104 was spacious and had ample space for me to spread out which i tend to do. It was also relatively quiet which i appreciated. I was also given a fan when i asked for one as i tend to overheat, so i was pleased that the fan was available. The bed was decent. Comfortable enough that i didn’t have any issues. They have a laundry service. There is regular tours available including daily walking tours which i recommend doing as soon as you get to Bogota to get a quick understanding of the city. They also have football tours where you can go watch a local game of soccer. Try and get one that Lorenzo is doing! (football and walking tour) And i have to say the staff at The Cranky Croc are excellent. They quickly remember your name and what your food and beverage preferences you have. Thank you to Douglas, Camilla, Robert, Rafa and Eduardo. You guys are awesome. And lastly thanks to Andy the Aussie owner. You’ve done a great job creating this hostel. And you know i love my stubby holder! 😻 And yes to say it again, my fave hostel ever. It’s going to take a lot to beat it!

This little gem of a hostel is the perfect place to stay in Bogotá. The staff is friendly and professional. Interesting tours leave from the lobby each morning and afternoon. The small restaurant makes excellent coffee and breakfasts. There's a ping pong table, a roof garden, kitchen and a roof garden, all steps from the Gold Museum and other attractions.

Excellent place to stay. The location is perfect. We stayed in a double room which had a private courtyard. The food available is great and good value. They have an extensive list of trips available which leave from the hostel. All of the staff were very helpful and friendly. Would stay here again without hesitation.

It was a lovely hostel. The staff members was very friendly and helpfull with my questions. I can defnitly recommend the pods room. It was private, quiet and I got a good night sleep every night. So far the best hostel with rooms that I have been so far.

The hostel is in a great location walking distance from many key sites. The communal and café areas are great and it is definitely quite social. Friendly staff too. My flight was 24 hours delayed and I therefore lost one of two nights and the hostel were very understanding re-arranging a pre-booked driver and only charging me for one night. For this reason, I'm giving them full marks! I had a private room which was comfortable but not especially big. If I was staying a few days, I would probably prefer to stay somewhere bigger but for one night it was absolutely fine. These rooms don't have their own bathrooms either.

One of the best hostels I have stayed in! staff are very friendly, the social area is great for meeting people, the hostel runs lots of events so great for solo travelers or if you want to meet people, it's very clean and feels safe. The rooms are also separate from the social area so you can get a good nights sleep. The food is also amazing, we had breakfast each morning and dinner one night and was really impressed, again the kitchen staff are so friendly. All in all a great a hostel and would def recommend.

I love this place. It came recommended to my partner and I by friends who visited in years past and I would happily pass on that recommendation to anyone looking for a comfortable, exceptionally clean and very welcoming place to stay in Bogota. The location is amazing - the area has endless dining options and it’s a great place to wander around and soak up the history and culture of the area. There’s free museums and lots of excursions on offer too. The staff are lovely and always happy to help you out. From the reception team to housekeeping, they are all wonderful. The bar/restaurant is amazing (shoutout to Eddie the owner!) for really affordable and high quality breakfasts, dinners and cocktails. Do not miss out on eating here - even the locals eat/drink here because it’s that’s good.
