Not too expensive but also not the best of the best. Host was quite funny. His English was pretty good too. The other receptionist was not at all on his level concerning English. He barely spoke and I don’t mean just English, also Spanish; very nonchalant and therefore quite weird you could say, somewhat nice guy nonetheless. Two guys, I believe relatives of Sergio (the host) stayed for 2 nights. They partied until 4/5 a.m. with music blasting from their phones which you could hear even three stories above. They smoked as well, which normally I do not mind since I smoke myself. However there is one window which isn’t a window but more like a vent which cannot be closed, therefore our room smelled like smoke the whole time. (Mind you we were in piso 3 while they were at the bottom. 2 very unpleasant nights. [Since Bogotá was our last stop before flying back to Germany we didn’t really feel like doing anything, which was also due to Bogotas reputation as one of colombias most boring cities. One evening we thought of ordering sushi. Restaurant texted „driver arrives at 6:30pm.] The Hostel is located in one of the most if not the most secure part of Bogotá. However it is up 20 meters of a little dodgy rocky road. We thought „ah let’s go outside, smoke a cig and wait for the sushi driver.“ we sat DIRECTLY infront of the hostel. Long story short a guy came said iPhone iPhone and pulled out a knife. Well you can guess. Police came. Didn’t do anything. [To be fair they couldn’t really do anything because the robber was GONE. We tracked him and they said upon seeing his location „ah si no perdon pero no“] sergio then explained to us that this was some kind of trap house. He knew surprisingly much about how the phone stealing business works which leads me to my next point. Sergio. Upon arrival he is a verrryyyy nice guy. Some might consider him too much and therefore weird or unpleasant. However the longer we stayed the weirder he got. He wasn’t there a lot of the time. Not answering the phone etc. The only guy who knew we were sitting outside the hostel at 6:30 pm was …… Sergio. Guy comes robbs us bla bla. He wanted to show police video footage. (Yes there is a camera infront of the hostel) but he didn’t really show them or us. He kinda acted like he did but he tried to hide just as much. When police was there he said he‘ll help us fill out the report of the stolen phone so if it gets found we’ll get it back. He didn’t do nothing. I mean he offered it but he was like yeah gimme that did some taps and said ah yes Blabla. Basically talking himself out of it. We stayed in our rooms for the rest of our 3 days in Bogota. Ordered food. Drank the water from the hostel. And as the day of departure arrived we asked a friend of Sergio who was more than helpful to come outside with us and go to the Uber. We sai"

"i used ibis hotel for transfer in medellin city. i felt it was reflecting service like food too. facility was good enough but i didnt know about warm air con so condition was not okay. i felt airport shuttle service was expensive , 80.000cop so it was little over the budget for me. maybe not because of hotel but bogota was really high attitude so I needed to expect more warm food too. thank you for hospitality anyways. "It was a wonderful stay. I arrived at 1 AM, but both the WhatsApp communication before arrival and the reception upon arrival were smooth, and the staff and security guard were kind. However, the surrounding area isn't safe (especially at night), so I recommend using Uber or taxis."
