Senator Hotel Apartments

This is one of the worst hotels I have stayed at. Arrived 1st night to a standard room, the smell of stale cigarette smoke in the room was horrible. There were two sofas in the room that had clearly been there years, and were filthy dirty covered in stains. We complained to Tui and the following day we were moved to a superior room. The room itself was better but again the smell of stale cigarette smoke was overwhelming. So much so that even our clothes were smelling of smoke. The pool area was shabby. The loungers we very old, flaking paint with a huge gap between the back of the lounger and flat part , it was uncomfortable to say the least so only ended up spending one day around the pool. The pool side showers to use after check our stank of sewage. Luckily they allowed us to extend the room until check out. The only good point was the staff who were lovely very friendly and helpful. You couldn't pay me to stay here again.

The only bad thing is the mattress protector is plastic and makes noise. The room is of good size, pools are clean and inviting. The breakfast is made to order, between cooked English or Continental with toast, croissant, orange juice, tea or coffee. All areas are clean and we are happy.😊😎

Perfect. About a 5 minute walk to the Strip so the location is ideal, with plenty of shops in the area. All the staff were lovely and really helpful, making us feel so welcome, and the rooms were great, with new towels every couple of days and all the amenities we needed. The food at the hotel is also really nice, with a good variety of dishes at a very reasonable price. There are two pools, both with a poolside bar serving a wide range of both alcoholic and soft drinks. The hotel (rooms, pools and restaurant area) was spotlessly clean and overall was just perfect for us! This was our first girls’ holiday and was made stress-free by Senator Hotel Apartments; if we ever come back to Ayia Napa we will definitely stay here again!

Good location for the Ayia Napa square, spacious and clean rooms which were ideal. Some of my the staff were lovely however had a few issues whilst staying at this hotel. When checking in the receptionist took our passports for the night due to late check in and placed them in an unlocked drawer which was worrying. The receptionist also placed a sticker on the front of our passport which we had trouble removing and this could have resulted in a damaged passport. Around the pool, we were not allowed our own drinks/food and were warned on several occasions about this, despite being told we were allowed to drinking out of our own water bottles that had been filled at the water point of the hotel, however we were still told to put these away despite being in extreme heat conditions. Another issue being one night we had unfortunately misplaced the key card which is easily done however the older male receptionist, who sat and slept at the reception instead of doing his job, began to shout at us and became really aggressive and unpleasant, which we perceived as unprofessional. If we were going to visit Ayia Napa again we would avoid this hotel just due to some of the unfair rules and attitudes of the staff which is a huge shame as the hotel itself was ideal for a girls holiday.

Stayed here with a group of 5 girls in June 2023, amazing hotel with everything you could ask for. Hotel staff were lovely and extremely friendly, rooms were cleaned and towels changed daily, not strict at all either with no scary security guards who threaten you that you get from other hotels, but still extremely safe! Check in and out was very straight forward also and good for booking taxis. The whole area was very clean with 2 pools with bars in both. Cocktails were gorgeous and music was played throughout the day. Rooms were very big and had everything you would need with a lovely balcony as well. There is no better hotel than this one honestly I and all my friends would highly recommend, considering this hotel is one of the cheapest in Ayia Napa! There was a mini shop 30 seconds from the hotel and about a 2 minute walk to the strip with lots of restaurants nearby as well! I never write reviews for anything but with this hotel I had to, this is by far the best hotel we have all stayed in in our time of staying at party place hotels, with lovely owners and everything you could ask for a party holiday! Would definitely stay here again.

Visit end of sept/beginning of oct) The apartments were a very good size, the aircon in the bedroom was really good and this was included in the price of the jet2 package holiday. Would definitely prefer a double bed instead of 2 singles though. Living area also large and kitchen with microwave, stove, etc. was good. Decor a little dated but doesn’t bother me. Check out at 12 was perfect timing not to have to rush. Location was perfect, near the motorway if you have a car and a short walk to the main strip of restaurants/bars. I would say some of the walks to and from the bars/ restaurants are uphill so be mindful if you have reduced mobility. There is also no lift so have to take suitcases up stairs but this wasn’t a problem for me. The pools always had sun beds free even though a few people liked to go down early to leave towels to reserve. There was one or two nights when groups were a bit loud, one time all out at the pool at 3/4am but have to expect it a little bit so close to the strip. Apart from that I didn’t have any issues with noise over the 2 week stay. Car park at the hotel was useful but small so sometimes full, but normally room at the front if this was the case. Hotel staff were friendly and helpful. Didn’t eat there so can’t comment on the food but the cocktails were good at the pool bars. I would definitely stay again.
