Just returned from a week staying here. Read all the reviews before we left and agree with some. Positives : great position; short walk to a choice of many different restaurants, beach 5-10 minute walk, supermarket 5 minute walk. Apartment clean and equipped for easy meals. (We only used the toaster kettle and a pan to boil eggs :-)) Plenty of VERY hot water with a decent shower. Good air conditioner but in lounge area only. Lovely pool with bar. Ample sunbeds and a few umbrellas. Not so positive: arrived at 11:00 to be told room check in is 3pm! But to be fair they took our number and called us when room was ready. Left cases and went for a wander. More of a moan about TUI than the apartments, having had a 6:10 flight thinking you’d have a full day at the resort! We were in block C second floor. No lift so lugging cases up 2 flights of stairs was a challenge especially as the stairs are scarily unsafe with rotten wobbly handrails. These really do need attention. Agree the beds so uncomfortable we pulled the bedsettee out and slept in the lounge. Better sleep after that, added bonus of being closer to the air conditioner. What I think would make a difference? Mend the stair rails, tidy up the pool area, the paint work is shocking, invest in some mattress toppers. Tidy or remove the broken and sealed off children’s play area. A real eyesore Did we get what we paid for? Yes and we had a fab time but the accommodation could be so much better with just a little bit of money spent. Hope this review helps

We stayed here for a week. Me, hubby, daughter and granddaughter. Yes it is a two star apartment block. We read the reviews and they are pretty accurate. For what we paid the accommodation was about what we expected. Reception staff were lovely. Very friendly and helpful. There are three blocks. We were in block A on the first floor facing the reception building. As reception is only one storey we had fabulous views over the sea. Our balcony was in the shade most of the day but we got the sun early evening and a lovely sunset view. The balcony is small. Only two people can sit out at a time. Windows and balcony doors are wooden and single glazed and have seen better days. All the windows had shutters that you could open/close as preferred. If the day was breezy and you have more than one door or window open the wind slams the internal doors shut. We propped doors open with cushions and chairs. Sofa covering and curtains all looked pretty new. Walls were clean and looked freshly painted. Some of the furniture and doors had deterioration at floor level where either the room had flooded at some point or from mopping the floor regularly. Table and chairs in kitchen area, sofa and coffee table in sitting area with a long cupboard which the TV sat on. Sofa not very comfortable so used pillows to soften it up a bit. Basic wardrobes and hangers in both bedrooms. Double bed in one room and two singles in the other. Beds were very uncomfortable for us. We requested extra pillows which came very quickly. The mattresses however were some of the worst ones we have experienced on holiday. We used the spare blankets to try and make them a bit more comfortable. Kitchen area had two hob rings and a mini oven. The oven had one shelf and you could cook half a pizza at a time. There was also a microwave, toaster and kettle. Basic kitchen utensils, pans and cutlery. Basic kitchen cupboards in need of upgrading. Washing up items of cloth, sponge, towel and washing up liquid were supplied as well as a mop, bucket and sweeping brush. These were useful for cleaning up after a two year old. We never had any ants in the apartment and we followed the instructions and kept all food in the fridge. The bathroom was small but the shower area was big with enough hot water and a fairly decent water pressure. The towels were the best hotel towels I have ever had. Nice and thick and of a decent size. The cleaner came in once mid week. The pool area is nice and clean with a little pool bar that does snacks. We went every day to the pool for an hour or so at different times of the day. There were always sunbeds available. It was a lovely peaceful area. We also went a couple of times to the pool areas in the sister hotel. That was busier but again we always got sunbeds. The hotel is near the beach and lots of amazing restaurants to choose from. We stayed in this hotel in 2018 and back then it was dated, it’s sad to see that nothing has been completed to bring the hotel into 2024. The pool was the best feature but that had the lights falling off and leaks over the perimeter wall every day. The slabs around the pool are all lifting and also uneven. It is a true shame as this hotel and location has incredible potential. The rooms again are very dated, aircon is ineffective and also smells. Balcony woodwork also needs attention as voids and damp have been filled with expanding foam. This isn’t good enough and the handrails are not safe. We stayed on the top floor, good thing was we had zero ants, bad thing was the dangerous handrails (felt they was going to fall apart) The good parts…. Incredible staff especially the lady who runs the snack bar, although she needs an extra pair of hands during the busy season! Sister hotel again the staff are great even catered for our son who has food intolerances. Each day we was made to feel incredibly welcome and was given a full rundown of the food and the ingredients. This was great service! Evening entertainment needs some thought though. The magician was mediocre, and the volume was way too high for such a small place. I really loved this hotel but sadly unless some repairs are undertaken immediately I can only suggest people avoid it. There is better value for money within the same area

Where to start feel like a right Karen here but beds are hard lucky I like this but for others it’s not so good staff are good happy to help extra pillows blankets etc, now the dust and dirt was awful the room smelt of the toilet and the shower flooded the light was hanging of the wall water dripped on to plug sockect from the air con to be honest it was not worth what we spent and I wished I listened to reviews ..it’s right at the top of the hill away from everything which is fine if you like to walk….the hotel could be lovely but it’s to run down and not clean I had spiders and ants in my bed when I pulled to cover back my baby 5 month old was bitten by things I had to get my own cleaning products as the room smelt I didn’t eat or cook as the cleanliness of the place it’s like they just can’t be bothered spend a little more and go else where we put up as everywhere was booked up but yeah was the worst accommodation in the area and known for it

Seth sa mirada is a fantastic base for Arenal, its on the outskirts so is quite peaceful but at the same time a few minutes walk from the beach. The apartments could do with modernising, the beds were un-comfy and only aircon in the living room which meant you had to have it on all day and night to cool the bedrooms. staff fantastic, pool is nice and the bar is good. You also have use of the other Seth hotel in Arenal which has a bigger pool and entertainment on.

Travelled with family. my girls had amazing time over there. Nice quiet place. mostly families. Supermarket and nice sandy beach just with 5-6 min walking distance. bus stop just outside the reception. £20 euros parasol with2 chair in the beach. easy access to mao city then you can travel any other place. great pool. always clean and just enough parasols and chairs. snack bar have limited items. ( all we needed was ice creams and drinks, they had enough). Staffs were very friendly specially Yasmina. Nothing was too much for her. she is a star. Room is standard 2 bed apart. nothing fancy but good enough. air con in living room. small cooker, fridge etc usual staffs. Didn’t pay 5star hotel price, so can’t expect 5 star service. limited restaurant around and usual bill was 60-70 euros for 4 of us with soft drinks. But if you are looking for nice family holiday, i would definitely recommend them and the area. while we were leaving we decided we will be back again here.
