Amazing location. Wonderful hotel, food, people, facilities - very hospitable. A place to relax, sleep brilliantly, swim, spa and eat incredible meals - amongst beautiful mountains and gardens. Easy to access the peaks, Alms (mountain cafes) etc for walks. We went with Inghams. This was our second visit to this hotel. There are so many guests that are repeat visitors. It’s not a surprise. The place is spotless, the location is amazing, the rooms are lovely and well-equipped…the people who work in Boglerhof are super-professional. It’s very easy to arrive and simply relax. The gardens and terraces are beautiful and you can find quiet spot to relax. The pool is lovely. It’s not enormous, but big enough. It’s a nice temperature and swimming in rain out there is a treat. The spa is clean and easy to use. Loads of towels, water, showers, relaxation areas. We used it most days after our hikes. The breakfast is super. We ate outside on most days. Great coffee options. Loads of choice, lovely bread, honey, juices, loads of hot options on - incl egg chef. There’s an afternoon tea buffet too (from 2-4pm) - even at half board you can drop into restaurant and fill up on a hot dish, meats, cheese and an array of cakes. Incredible. They also refill your in-room coffee, mini bar - which is free and another unexpected bonus. Evening meals are amazing. I had Alpine menu most days. There’s a dedicated veg menu also. Wine by glass was around £5.50-6 - and lovely. That was our only extra during the holiday…Evening drinks. They also do kid-friendly meals too. For those with a sweet-tooth..there’s a Haribo (sweets/candy) area in buffet too (all included) plus ice cream options. There’s free tours with a professional guide on most days. We went ebiking. We took the bus from Alpbac to lifts and walked on top of mountains - came down other lifts and back to Alpbac on bus. It’s really easy. Lots of advice at reception on walks. Plus free maps. There are some lovely places in mountains to grab a bite and beer (Alms) - check where they are and when they open. They are a treat. There were a couple of bands in evening. Really nice. We saw lots of single travellers mingling, chatting and joining the excisions. So going alone to this hotel is definitely and option. Alpbac itself is beautiful. Small. But plenty of restaurants and bars. There’s a great supermarket. You can walk directly from town onto the peaks. Rent bikes and enjoy traditional Tyrol experience - like band music on Friday evening in summer or a festival. There’s a church - yes it does have bells! They ring 2-3 times a day. I liked it. Definitely worth a look around the place and you are welcome to do so by the community. Famous for Schrödinger’s resting place, of course. There’s a bakery, clothes shops, cafes, traditional beer houses, pizza and restaurants. Plenty for all travellers. As you can see, I loved it. The best things in Alpbac are free tbh. The air, the scenes and chats with locals.
