The location is fantastic, right in the heart of Airlie. However, I found it disappointing that only a linen sheet was provided on the bed—no blanket at all. It got quite chilly at night. This setup might be fine in summer, but a blanket is definitely needed for cooler seasons!

The location is close to everything . The accommodations need better maintenance though . They sweep the room to clean real quick when there is someone checking out. I am in luck that my roommates are really nice and clean. The room look old and smell weird but if you stay long enough you will get used to it. They could make the room look better but they don’t .It’s a shame. Great place and good price for backpackers and caravan.

I booked a girls room but then there’s guys come live in the room , it was such a bad hostel, and the guy s come back late can’t have good sleep . The worst is the front desk woman is so bad and so unfriendly won’t go there again

Perfect location close to everything. Although the staff wasn’t very friendly, the rooms and common areas really compensated for that! Would recommend!

The cleanliness is about the same. The important thing is that it is only a 20-minute walk from the pier. It is too noisy at night. There are RV campsites around and they are all young people. It is not suitable for those who like quiet. The room is also big and the sound insulation is not good

It is a youth hostel that can be reached in about 10 minutes' walk from Port Airy. There are various recreational facilities inside: beach volleyball, open-air cinema, swimming pool and so on. I stayed in a girls' quadruple room, and chatted with girls from all over the world. There are restaurants, supermarkets, swimming gear shops, and bus stops on the street... very convenient. It is also very close to the pick-up point of the largest overseas travel agency here.

The room is large, with separate bathroom, separate shower, kitchen and cloakroom. Just not very tidy and clean. It's the end of August. There is only one sheet on the bed. It's too cold. I woke up at 4 o'clock from the cold. I found a small fleece blanket in the closet. It was too small. It was about the same size as Da Da today. It was covered with two bath towels and it was barely enough for one night. . The best thing is the location, surrounded by various bars and shopping, BWS and Woolworth are 3-5 minutes walk away. The airport shuttle is also very convenient.

The service was very good. I changed my room to a twin room for free.

Not the best hostel! Fine for airlie beach as you’re usually out on excursions but I wouldn’t want to stay here longer than the 2 nights I did. The general vibe and pool etc is nice. The dorm was really dated, no plug sockets next to each bed, the fan was SO noisy and looked like it was going to break off the ceiling when it was on, and the shower flooded when you were in it because the drain needs cleaning. There was a weird smell in the room which was probably from that as well. I tried to do laundry but it was chaos and not enough washing machines for the amount of people, and no driers or room on the clothes lines so if you wanted to wash and pack stuff it wasn’t ideal. They do a good deal in boatys for meal and cocktail for $27 and the food was really nice.

Stayed here as part of my east coast trip, was welcomed by this lovely Welsh lady (so sorry I have forgotten her name) who was able to answer all my questions. Super clean spacious room, friendly staff and guests and good vibes all round - would stay again

We stayed in two different rooms here (both were 8 shared mixed) and unfortunately both were below par. The first room had mould in the shower; the hooks on the shower door were too high to reach (I’m 5’4) and these were the only hooks in the room meaning people were forced to hang their wet towels over the shared bunk beds - a problem which could easily be resolved by providing more hooks in the bathroom. There was no door separating the “ensuite” and the bedroom itself resulting in limited privacy as well as an inability to use the bathroom at night without disturbing others by the lights. The second bedroom had an extremely dirty floor and the beds were also very compact: three bunk beds in a row on one wall with no space in between. Another issue was the kitchen, which had limited facilities and was unclean. The sinks were often blocked with dirty water and food, not helped by the lack of cleaning sponges/clothes and clean drying towels. Additionally, the fridge was dirty and too full to be able to put our food in it. That being said, there are a small amount of much bigger newly renovated rooms in the hostel with curtains/chargers on each bed, multiple hooks and clean sinks. Whilst these rooms are worth the rate of $60 per night, the majority of the rooms in the hostel, which have not been renovated, are hardly worth $60.

Dearest Juliana was my rock in a stormy sea. When there was a spider in my room she destroyed it. When there was slight breeze she redirected it like a wind god. Nomads is wonderful. But Juliana made it breathtaking. Truly an unforgettable time.

Great place. Clean and beautiful environment with two pools. Felt very safe with attentive security. Right in Airlie Beach with easy walk to the shops and bars. Totally enjoyed our stay. Very comfortable bed and great shower. Thank you and keep it up!

Stayed in Nomads for three nights. Great experience from start to finish.Nomads are very helpful in taking your luggage when you go on day trips/ overnight stays on the neighbouring islands. We were also able to stay with friends we had met on our excursions. Highly recommend. Shout out to Jake for helping us with a seamless check in.
