From the hotel it's easy to walk to some of the main tourist attractions and main streets with many supermarkets and convenience stores around. Our twin room was a little small and didn't have a kettle or fridge, otherwise it was nice and quiet and I slept very well. (A kettle and fridge plus microwave and laundry facilities were available in a shared/public space in the hotel)

I stayed in the Junior Suite at Scandic Byporten and had an excellent experience. The location is perfect — directly connected to Oslo Central Station, which makes traveling around the city and to the airport incredibly convenient.
The suite was spacious, modern, and very comfortable. I especially appreciated the large windows with great city views and the cozy seating area, which made the room feel more like a small apartment than a hotel. Everything was spotless and well-maintained.
The staff were professional, welcoming, and efficient. Breakfast was another highlight — a wide variety of fresh and tasty options, including local specialties.
Overall, my stay was smooth and relaxing. The Junior Suite is definitely worth it if you want extra comfort and space in the heart of Oslo. Highly recommended!

The location is fantastic. The hotel provides for basic facilities. Breakfast can be pre-booked. But it lacks some basic amenties:
1. It lacks a telephone in each room. How are we to reach out to the reception in case of any support ?
2. Majority of travellers from Asia will not carry things like electric plugs (Norway has a typical plug ). So the only way is to now purchase it from a shop. Even that is fine, if you reach the hotel at an odd hour then we will have to wait for the shop to open to purchase the connector/plug.
3. TV channels lack basic english channels. Nowadays satellite channels are cheap atleast connect the TVs to the internet for streaming youtube.
4. Rooms have hangers but lack cupboards.
5. No dental kits or shaving kits etc.

Overall, my stay was pleasant. Although there was a slight hiccup with my room booking that delayed my check-in, I appreciated the efforts from both the hotel reception (especially Jordan) and Trip’s representative (Nico) in resolving the matter promptly.
The room itself was fairly basic, but the superb location and delicious breakfast more than made up for it. I would definitely consider returning and staying again with Clarion Hotels

The room is way much smaller than I expect unless you don't have many baggage. However, the room is clean and water flow comes from the faucet and hand shower are quite strong and warm. The room is super quite and the there are a variety of food and diversify drink and coffee for breakfast you can select. The hotel location is near downtown of Oslo for 3 mins walk. It's so convenient to buy everything you want in Oslo.

Restoran hotel cukup mahal. Mereka menyediakan beberapa sepeda manual gratis… semuanya menurun ke Oslo dan kemudian menanjak kembali. TTamuTruly one of the best hotel stays I have ever experienced. The hotel staff went above and beyond to ensure we were well accommodated and comfortable throughout. When we arrived at the hotel it was 11AM, so I mentioned to the front desk staff that I know it was far too early for us to receive our room (check in is typically at 3PM) and that we would like to simply drop off our bags. Without any special requests, the front desk staff immediately prepared our room keys of us to check in right away, which was hugely appreciated since we had caught a very early morning flight in. We loved the room. It was very comfortable for the 3 of us, although a bit tight but that's what we expected for hotel rooms in Europe. The bathroom was well fitted and had all the basic toiletries required (shampoo, body wash, hand soap), however we hoped to have body lotion as well, so we asked housekeeping whether any was available and they immediately brought 3 LARGE bottles for each of us to use. I have never seen such massive toiletries and in such generous quantities supplied at any hotel before, which again made us feel very well taken care of. Finally on our check out day our flight was not until 6PM and since checkout is typically at 11AM I requested for just a 1 hr extension. Although they were very busy for it being the beginning of summer holidays, without any hesitation the front desk staff extended our checkout time to 3PM. I was once again very pleasantly surprised and appreciative. My last note is to touch on the complimentary tea and coffee always available in the lobby, as well as the fabulous buffet breakfast they served. Cannot recommend this hotel enough!

PPengguna AnonimDefinitely a busier part of town but we enjoyed being in the middle of it. Could see and hear the water fountains in the park from window. There is a little second level perch/balcony which was amazing to sit at during the evening sun while sipping some of the delicious white wine provided by hotel. Easy walk to the train stations and overall great location for walking to all of the places we wanted to go to. Beds were very comfortable and we had excellent sleep! Morning breakfast was amazing and had a very nice ambiance! I can’t believe the fresh juice station and health shots…America needs to step up the game as far as hotel breakfasts.

TTamuMyself and a group of HE students have returned home from a conference where we stayed in this hotel.
The staff were really helpful and polite. Every morning we would ask for fresh towels at reception and these were either provided there and then or delivered to the room within 10 minutes of the request. The hotel is located around 10-15 minutes walk away from the marina, the tube station, royal palace. The students really enjoyed how central the hotel was to everything.
Check in and out was smooth, and the rooms were clean. There was a QR code in the room to scan if you wanted the cleaner to come in on a daily basis. There was a small selection of snacks in the reception area to purchase. On the other hand the breakfast variety was really good. From fresh waffles and pancakes to cooked breakfast, cereal, yoghurt and fruit, fresh smoothies and juices.
Overall this hotel is great if you want a base to go and explore Oslo. I would recommend this hotel to a weekend away.
