We came here for the first part of our Cambodian holiday. The room is comfortable and the hotel was relatively quiet. I thought their breakfast was amazing and it was included with our stay so please don't miss it. Kimsinh was our main contact there and he was helpful the entire time. He helped organize tickets and dinner reservations. The hotel was undergoing renovations so we did not really enjoy that part of it however, We will look forward to checking out the changes when we come back

The service is good and the environment is comfortable. The swimming pool below is great. Next to it is the ticket office of Angkor Wat. The decoration is a little old, but the price/performance ratio is good.

Fast checked in & checked out without deposit. Room and bathroom is quite small, but no complaint since it worth the price. They’ve elevator which at first I thought they don’t bcs it’s only 4th floor hotel. Small pool but enough to get the sunlight for sunbathing. They currently do renovation in front of the hotel, but I didn’t hear any sound in the night. And there’s supermarket opposite the hotel. - they didn’t provide toothbrush, but you can buy it in the lobby.

Sala Lodges in the enchanting city of Siem Reap is nothing short of a hidden gem that boasts not only of charming aesthetics but also of exceptional service that made our stay unforgettable. Nestled quietly away, this hotel provided a tranquil retreat that was much needed during our travel. The service at Sala Lodges was commendable, embodying the true spirit of hospitality. The staff were attentive, approachable, and consistently willing to assist us in organizing our trips around Siem Reap, making the overall experience hassle-free and enjoyable. A special shoutout to the Swiss owners who were genuinely amiable and made us feel warmly welcomed. As for the accommodations, the rooms in Sala Lodges were a delightful surprise. Each room bore discrete charm with its tasteful decoration, seamlessly blending traditional and contemporary elements. The authentic Khmer old houses are full of charm, yet modern and well preserved. The hotel’s kitchen offered a menu that might seem simple at a glance but was satisfyingly delightful upon tasting. Every dish we tried was prepared well, with fresh ingredients and flavors that are comforting yet exciting to the palate. The breakfast, in particular, deserves an extra note of praise for being consistently good, providing a delightful start to our days of exploration. Adding to the hotel’s allure was the inviting swimming pool, serving as a refreshing sanctuary after a day of touring the magical temples and vibrant markets of Siem Reap. During the wet season, the atmosphere around Sala Lodges was even more calming and soothing, with the soft sound of rain providing a comforting backdrop to our stay. Definitely in my top 5 hotels of all time. The rooms were big and spacious, the pool was amazing, they have happy hour everyday from 1pm to 5pm, the staff was a solid 10/10. The food was not so great but edible. I would suggest to maybe add snacks or light meals to the menu maybe Nachos or tacos. The only problem I had, though was not with the hotel, but with Trip.com itself. They said that the hotel offered free airport drop off or pick up, this was however false ad advertising, and when I contacted Trip.com, I was given the runaround and they wanted to give me not even a fraction airport fee. The airport fee was $29 from the Hotel and Trip.com wanted to offer me 39 CNY which is $5.40. I was very very disappointed by this as my issue is still not solved and I am being taken from point from pillar to post and the whole reason I bought this hotel was because of the free airport drop off saying that the airport is one hour away.

The first night I was put in a room with an air conditioner that was running but never cooled. The next room had a family of very loud people that went most of the night. The staff is friendly and attentive, but obtrusive. I was moved to another room which had excellent air conditioning and was comfortable. I have lived extensively in SE Asia and am familiar with the culture. However, always being asked,”Where are you going,” or “What are you doing?” Made me feel very uncomfortable. Simply tell guests that if they need anything or have any questions to please ask, instead of feeling interrogated each time I walked in and out of the hotel. The girl that served in the dining room had a warm smile and was very kind and she always tried to serve well and did great. The days she was off, it was an uncomfortable awkward experience just trying to have a simple breakfast. Just trying to get salt or getting condiments so that I could eat my food while it was hot, was almost impossible. As an exercise swimmer, the pool was very unclear at first. I asked if it could be cleaned and their was resistance to do so. Eventually it was cleaned and later it was much better. I booked my room for two and my girlfriend was only able to be with me part of the time. One evening when I walked into reception with her, the guy was rude and disrespectful and interrogating us both. It was a very uncomfortable and unacceptable situation. I had booked it for two weeks. Two days before I left, one evening, there was a rat running on the soffit near the ceiling. I didn’t complain about it because my stay was nearly finished and I don’t know what they would even try to do to remedy the situation. The balconies are nice and overall it was quiet and peaceful.

The rooms are unique and the interior is very ”Cambodia feels”. Rooms are also spacious, comfortable and affordable. Love their balcony with pool view. There is no elevator so you may consider 1st floor rooms if you have luggages. Though they will help you carry your things. Location wise - can take tuktuk to go to places such as the night market and pub street. The only downside: Swimming pool wasn't maintained well and it not so inviting to swim (hope they able to maintain it and maximize the good ambiance of the pool). Other items in the room are not well maintained such as the water kettle is rusty and the bathrobes got holes/tears. Love their lobby/receiving area too. It is very cozy area and love the scents! Staff are very welcoming and very polite despite of the communication barrier. They are very patient. The phone in my original room wasn't working and asked for replacement since I may need the phone during my stay. I appreciate Trey for stepping out and settled the issue. They have good food as well. They even packed my breakfast when one of my tour started at 0430hr. They also offer complimentary foot massage and discounts for food/bar and spa. I was able to try their Khmer Massage at La Dear Spa on my last night. I recommend Vanra for the relaxing spa experience.

On my recent travels through Cambodia, I recently had the pleasure of staying at Mera Residence in Siem Reap, and I must say it was an exceptional experience from start to finish. The friendly and efficient staff immediately set the tone for a delightful stay. Their warm welcome and eagerness to assist made me feel right at home. The quality and spaciousness of the rooms exceeded my expectations. Immaculately clean, well-appointed, and filled with thoughtful amenities, my accommodation was a haven of comfort. The attention to detail, from the plush bedding to the stylish decor, showcased a commitment to providing a top-notch guest experience. Situated in a convenient location near Angkor Wat the hotel's surroundings added to the overall appeal. Whether exploring the nearby centres or simply enjoying a leisurely stroll, the accessibility was a definite plus. Breakfast was a culinary delight. The hotel offered a diverse menu with delectable dishes and drinks. I highly recommend trying the Khmer Options – a true gastronomic highlight. What truly stood out was the overall atmosphere of the hotel. The seamless blend of elegance and comfort created an inviting ambiance. The staff's dedication to ensuring a positive guest experience was evident throughout my stay. Considering the superb service, luxurious accommodations, and excellent breakfast, I believe Mera Residence offers exceptional value for money. Without a doubt, I wholeheartedly recommend this hotel to fellow travelers seeking a memorable and enjoyable stay. In conclusion, my time at Mera Hotel and its Staff experience was nothing short of perfect. I look forward to returning in the future and extending my gratitude to the entire staff for their outstanding hospitality.

The location of the hotel is excellent, around the corner is makara street, 10 minutes across the bridge and you are in the center (old town) . if you go right at makara street, five minutes and shop 7/11.nearby there is a local cafe right outside the hotel where for 18,000 riels you can eat 2 servings of Khmer very tasty soup. Yes, it's not very clean, and the squeamish won't like it, but the soup is really delicious and there were no problems with cooking. Our room was deluxe, without a balcony, the furniture is not new, but everything works as it should. The shower is slightly leaking, but these are small things. Our windows faced the wall of the neighboring building, the windows were not washed, but there was nothing to admire there either. The hotel is quiet, you can sleep in peace. Disadvantages: 1. we had a room with a bunch of mosquitoes, the reception staff was very helpful and gave us mosquito spray, we sprayed it in the room and they did not disturb us at night.but you need to ventilate it well, the balloon smells strongly. We even started to suffocate. There may be fewer mosquitoes in the other room. 2. for me, the mattress seemed very soft, it creases under the weight, even though I weigh 70 kg. And then it doesn't straighten back up. Maybe it's on purpose, but it's more comfortable for me to sleep on a hard mattress. Positive: 1. The hotel staff is as helpful as possible. 2. we were settled earlier than the scheduled time. 3. We helped you buy a SIM card and set it up. 4. They always smile and help. Thanks a lot for that. We will return to this hotel again! Thank you for a pleasant time!
