Mulan Cemetery

Hua Mulan Cemetery is located at the foot of Wanhua Mountain in Yan'an City. The cemetery is built on the mountain. The pine and cypress flowers are planted in the garden, with an elegant environment and beautiful scenery. The characters "Tomb of General Hua" carved on his tombstone were written by the famous calligrapher Shu Tong. There is a statue of Hua Mulan in front of the tomb. Hua Mulan rides a war horse, wears armor, and holds a sword in his right hand, reproducing the heroic appearance of the year. According to legend, Hua Mulan lived in Huayuan Village at the foot of Wanhua Mountain. Later, she disguised herself as a man, joined the army for her father, and fought in the battlefield. After the victory of the war, Mulan returned to her hometown and lived here until her death. After Mulan's death, she was buried on the mountain next to the village, called "Hua Family Mausoleum".
