Man Mo Temple

The Temple of Man and Wu (Man Mo Temple) is located on Hollywood Road, Sheung Wan, Hong Kong, China. It was completed between the first year of Qingdao Guangwen 27 (1847) and the first year of Tongzhi (1862). It is one of the earliest Chinese temples built in Hong Kong under British colonial rule. The temple is a group of temples. It consists of three buildings: the temple, the palace and the public office. The temple is mainly dedicated to the Wenchang and the emperor, and the palace is used as a place for the worship of the gods. The public office is a place for Chinese discussion and troubleshooting in the area. The three buildings are separated by two alleys. The Temple of Man and Wu reflects the social organization and religious practices of the Chinese in Hong Kong in the past, and has important historical and social significance.
