#familytrips2024 Hong Kong Disneyland is a theme park located on reclaimed land in Penny's Bay, Lantau Island, Hong Kong. It was the first Disneyland in Asia outside of Japan until Shanghai Disneyland in 2016. After experiencing Shanghai Disneyland, Hong Kong is much smaller and we are able to finish most of the spots in one day! I purchased the tickets on Trip app, and just show the QR at the entry. Frozen is the current focus theme in HK Disneyland. Make sure you check out the winter castle and play with Elsa and Anna! Remember to download app beforehand to make appointments and check locations. The park is accessible through MTR, which is a direct Disney themed line! We were lucky enough to have a sunny day in rainy May, and walked the whole park for 3 times! (Which is something you can’t experience in Shanghai🤣) #HongKongTravelGuide

Visiting Disneyland was one of the top things on my list when I visited Hong Kong. Here are some of my tips to ensure you have a magical day! MUST VISIT ATTRACTIONS: 🌟 World of Frozen - Step into Elsa & Anna’s kingdom of Arendelle where you can experience a storybook water ride Frozen Ever After and the high speed rollercoaster Wandering Oaken’s Sliding Sleighs. 🌟 Big Grizzly Mountain Runaway Mine Cars - I’m not being dramatic when I say that this is THE BEST attraction at any Disney park. It’s so much fun. I went on it 3 times! 🌟 “it’s a small world” - A visit to Disneyland is not complete without riding this classic. 🌟 RC Racer - a thrilling, gravity-defying experience. Jump in the car and race back and forth on the U shaped track! 🌟 Jungle River Cruise - Set sail on an adventure down the river with your own guided tour through the jungle. 🌟 Mickey and Friends Street Celebration - Check the app for parade times. A Mickey-led train themed parade with all of your favourite characters! 🌟 “Momentous” Nighttime Spectacular - Stay in the park after sunset to see all of the beautiful lights and the fireworks show on the castle! 🚅Transport: Take the high-speed train to West Kowloon, then the subway to Disneyland. Tested and true, after watching the fireworks and fetching luggage from the hotel, you can still catch the 10:15 high-speed train; there are also direct buses to the Shenzhen Bay Port, and it is recommended to take a taxi for more than 3 people (280💰) 📝Strategy: The park opens at 10:30 am, if you want to make a reservation for Belle, it is advised to arrive before 10 am to start queuing, only the first batch of visitors might succeed in making a reservation on the APP! ✅After entering the park, there is a shop with many people, it is advised not to spend too much time there, as there are many similar shops later on. ✅The first stop can be to take photos at the castle, hurry up and snap a few while the makeup is still OK in the morning, you won't have the energy in the afternoon. The recommended route is counterclockwise, Hong Kong Disneyland is not too big, just go to whichever attraction has fewer people in the APP. 🍱Be sure to buy a three-in-one or two-in-one meal voucher in advance, the portions are generous, and the Rocket Restaurant and Royal Banquet Restaurant are recommended, choose meals under 150 for lunch/dinner, and you will need to pay the difference for anything more expensive, in the afternoon you can also redeem ice pops or popcorn at the snack kiosk. 📍Star Wars Hyperspace Mountain: An indoor attraction, cool and fun, quite thrilling, worth a re-ride! 📍RC Racer: U-shaped track, similar to a pirate ship, with a strong sense of weightlessness at the highest point, very stress-relieving 📍Big Grizzly Mountain Runaway Mine Cars: An outdoor roller coaster, a classic must-ride attraction, its biggest feature is that it goes backward, followed by an even more thrilling acceleration, so satisfying! 📍Toy Soldier Parachute Drop: Straight up and down, with a sense of weightlessness, it is recommended to sit close to the side of the ride for a better view 📍It's a Small World: Recommended for families with children, sit in the boat and enjoy the music and the customs of various nationalities, very cool 📍Mystic Manor: A treasure hunt game, said to be a bit scary, but my friend and I didn't feel much 📍Ant-Man and The Wasp: Nano Battle!: An indoor shooting game, suitable for families/couples to compete 📍Mad Hatter Tea Cups: Macaron colors suitable for taking photos 📍Slinky Dog Spin: More suitable for young children 📍Dumbo the Flying Elephant/Orbitron: Both are similar, family-friendly attractions 📍Cinderella Carousel: Has a nice atmosphere for photos when the lights are on at night 📍Jungle River Cruise: Unfortunately, I didn't go, I really wanted to take a boat and see the handsome captain, the animals are very realistic 📍Disney's Storybook Theater: A 3D movie, worth watching 📍Villains Dance Party: A Halloween limited performance at the Wild Theater, very lively atmosphere, highly recommended 📍Follow Your Dreams: The best position is right in front of the stage 📍Halloween Parade: With Mickey, Minnie, Belle, Duffy on the big pumpkin, waving and blowing kisses to interact with the visitors along the way! 📍Fireworks Show: Check the time on the APP, you can watch from the circular flower bed in front of the castle or on Main Street. 🌟Tips: Download the APP in advance, log in to your account to reserve entry. To reserve for Belle, you need to operate on the APP. It is recommended to bring a power bank (very expensive inside), mosquito repellent, water bottle (there is drinking water available, 30/bottle inside), umbrella, sunglasses🕶️, and a fan.

Destination: Hong Kong Disneyland🏰 Time⏰: 11:00am entry - 9:00pm exit Play time: 10 hours Projects: Few people and short queues, basically played all the projects Route: The right hand side of the entrance is a playground for children (Avengers Alliance, Star Wars, carousel, Winnie the Pooh's house, magic bookstore performance, etc.) The left hand side of the entrance is Grizzly Gulch, a place for adults to play (roller coaster, boat tour of Southeast Asia, dance exhibition at night, devil exhibition, etc.) There is a Disney cartoon patrol car at around 17:00 in the afternoon The fireworks show starts at 20:30 in the evening and ends at 20:50🔚 Suggestions: 1. You can bring your own water (not glass packaging can be brought in) and food (don't bring food that needs to be reheated, such as instant noodles, try to bring rice balls, bread, chocolate, ready-to-eat food. You can also not bring food, there are restaurants in the park) 2. The park can be entered at 10:30, and you can basically arrive around 12:00 on weekdays, and you can play all the projects. We basically finished playing at 4 o'clock in the afternoon, and then watched some fixed performances, float parades and fireworks shows 3. There is no need to buy a VIP channel on weekdays, there are few people, and the longest queue time is only 20-30 minutes 4. Park Size: Shanghai Disneyland wins Shanghai Disneyland is the third largest Disneyland in the world, and it's not possible to experience all of its attractions in one day, unlike in Hong Kong Disneyland. 2. Themed Subway: Hong Kong Disneyland wins Hong Kong Disneyland has a dedicated Disney-themed subway. When you get on the exclusive subway, you will clearly hear the announcer say: Today is a wonderful day~ When you go back, you will hear the announcer say: The train is about to take you back to the reality of Hong Kong, giving you a feeling of truly being in Disneyland. 3. Belle Reservation: Hong Kong Disneyland wins It's easier to meet Belle in Hong Kong Disneyland, and Belle dolls can be freely purchased there. Perhaps because Hong Kong Disneyland caters to international tourists and Shanghai Disneyland caters to domestic tourists, it's relatively easy to meet Belle with a good strategy... I mentioned this in my previous note. 4. Character Meet and Greet: Shanghai Disneyland wins Character meet and greets in Hong Kong Disneyland are by reservation, while in Shanghai Disneyland, they are generally available. Castle: Shanghai Disneyland wins The castle in Shanghai Disneyland is relatively more beautiful, larger and more dreamy. It's more photogenic, and the fireworks show at night is equally good in both parks. 7. Queue Time: Hong Kong Disneyland wins The queue time for each attraction in Hong Kong Disneyland is about 20-30 minutes, a bit longer during the summer vacation. In Shanghai Disneyland, you need to spend money, otherwise it will test your patience. In comparison, the experience in Hong Kong Disneyland is better, but Shanghai Disneyland, as the most profitable park in the world, certainly has its own attractions. I love both, and I am very much looking forward to the new Frozen and Zootopia themed parks in Hong Kong Disneyland and Shanghai Disneyland this year. Hong Kong Disneyland is the main reason why my sister and I visited Hong Kong. Undoubtedly one of the famous attractions in Hong Kong, this theme park boasts of 7 themed attractions like Fantasyland, Adventureland, Main Street, Mystic Point, Toy Story Land, Tomorrowland and Grizzly Gulch. Being here is like fulfilling a childhood dream, especially seeing the fireworks display.
