We have mixed feelings about this resort. First, it is located right next to Nungwi Beach, making it easy to book various tours. Most of the staff are very nice, friendly, and helpful, and the entire resort is well-designed. However, two friends of mine ordered drinks at the pool, and the staff charged them incorrectly. My friend only discovered this in the morning when we were leaving. The concierge staff was not helpful; he promised he would look into the receipt after we left. When my friend called a few days later, the staff who answered hung up on her, and she was never able to get through again. Also, the staff didn’t tell us about how early we should call to order takeaway breakfast. We called at 10 PM the night before, and the staff member said she would see what she could do because it was already too late. In the end, we didn't have any food to take with us.

Amazing stay at the hotel with great amenities! I had a fantastic time staying at this hotel in Nungwi, Zanzibar, with my friends. The hotel was very clean, which was important to me, and the pool was cleaned everyday and perfect for relaxing. The spacious rooms made our stay even more comfortable, providing plenty of room to relax after a day of activities. The location is also perfect 3 minutes walk to to Nungwi Beach, with beautiful excursions by the sea just a short distance away. You can watch the sunset. What truly made this stay special was the friendliness of the staff. They were incredibly helpful and friendly. They make our stay enjoyable. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone!! We will definitely be coming back!

YYour Jamaican GirlThe Lux Marijani Zanzibar hotel was a DREAM ✨ The hotel getaway you never knew you needed. The hotel is approximately 1 hour and 15 minutes away from the airport. Upon arriving at the hotel we were warmly greeted by hospitable staff and amazing refreshments 🍹 The transition to our room was seemless thanks to our wonderful concierge Temba 👏 The room was beautifully decorated and spacious with a great view of the hotel’s private beach. It was equipped with a hair dryer, bathrobes, slippers, a kettle and a TV (with YouTube access). The hotel is perfect for couples and family alike. With an extraordinary food menu from its three restaurants. The hotel offers regular themed buffet meals ( Mexican Night/ BBQ Night) for its guests. It offers meals right around the clock: Breakfast ($35 usd), Lunch ($35 usd) & Dinner ($45 usd). There is also an option to pay from all-inclusive meal packages upon arrival. Special shout out to Chef Desi for his mouthwatering coconut delights, I will miss that the most! 😂 The hotel’s facilities also include a pool 🏊♀️ and a gym 🏋️♀️ (open from 7am-6pm). There are also various daily activities like Marco Polo, table tennis, art class, cooking class and beach volleyball to name a few. It was overall a great experience staying at the Lux Marijani Zanzibar and I would urge everyone to enjoy this experience on their own. Whether it’s dancing the night away to the music of the live band or just taking a sunset stroll on the beach. It was truly a life-changing and I highly recommend staying here. On our last day they let us do a free late check out and have dinner and stay at the hotel till 11pm which really shows that the hotel care about their guests. Food: The food is good. The cliff restaurant is very nice and with good dishes. Buffet is quite diverse and you have the BBQ night which is awesome. Something to improve: desserts. Service: All the staff is very nice and friendly. Pools: You have 3/4 different pools with 2 bars which is great to order some drinks. Room: big rooms and very spacious. Bed sheets, towels and matress are quite old. They need to be changed. Gym: Needs an improvement. To close it and are some fan/air conditioner. They should add some running and bike equipment. Beach: Beautiful beach with super crystal water. Something bad is the local people that wants to sell everything at all time. But I guess that is something normal in all Zanzibar. Score: 8,5/10

GGinge5Tui Blue Bahari is 5*+ There is space, good food, great private beaches, 5 restaurants, friendly staff and a relaxing atmosphere. There were more sunbeds than guests when we stayed and towels are available poolside. There are bars in the garden, by the beach and at the pool, which are all manned with waiters and bar staff who are happy and efficient. The hotel has security and a private beach and the local tour sellers wait at the beach for you to engage. If you walk straight into the sea from the resort you'll find starfish, urchins and Dory fish. The room door we had wouldn't lock with a firm push and a couple times after the cleaners had been it was unlocked. Overall though 9.5/10 I'd recommend for any special occasion, or for those who want to safari in Tanzania, or swim with dolphins in Mnemba.

Food in hotel restaurant is excellent, they offer different menu for lunch and dinner. Verify options for breakfast buffet, you will never feel bored for their food. Hotel offers yoga class on the morning daily except Sunday. Family or solo can also start with a “ Good morning “. There is a swimming pool, small gym room, different ball games for visitors to chill. Hotel is also connected with different Partners, no need to worry about the day trip prior arrival. They can plan everything for you including stone town visit, prison island , snorkelling. We just enjoy our time during our stay.
