Georgeous SWISSend Getaway

Zurich is a great weekend destination if you live in Western Europe - especially when the weather is not too cold. The city is absolutely beautiful and walking-friendly. The views of the mountains are breathtaking, and there are adorable cafes to grab a bite to eat and enjoy a delicious cappuccino. There are also lovely specialty stores to get unique souvenirs. One such shop sold different liquors and wines out of barrels in which you filled your own glass bottle. I was also lucky enough to enjoy the annual National Costume Parade. If you are a fan of house music, this event is perfect. The crowd and atmosphere was amazing; everyone is so festive and enjoying themselves. Also, at such an event with alcohol, nobody was acting out of order or causing a scene. But... Zurich is also the most expensive city to visit in all my travels in Europe. Just be ready to spend some cash because nothing is cheap. Lunch for two people in a pizza shop would already cost you €50. Nonetheless, this is still a highly recommended destination to visit especially if you fancy natural scenery. #swissbliss
