It was an incredibly fun trip filled with vibrant colors, adorable sights, and absolutely delicious food! Let me share all the details so that anyone planning a visit can be fully prepared. ⸻ Before the journey... Excited for Osaka! Osaka is often called the "Kitchen of Japan," and it truly lives up to its name. I was super excited because I heard that this city is packed with amazing food, beautiful attractions, and authentic Japanese culture at every corner. So, I prepared myself, packed my camera, and left my stomach empty, ready to eat to my heart's content! ⸻ Day 1: Exploring Dotonbori - A vibrant district full of delicious food After landing at Kansai Airport, I quickly grabbed my luggage and hopped on the JR train to Dotonbori. This area is the heart of Osaka's fun and flavors. As soon as I stepped out of the train station, wow! Neon lights were sparkling everywhere, and the giant Glico sign was waving at us. The streets were filled with the aroma of delicious food. I strolled around and found a takoyaki stall selling octopus-filled snacks. The first bite was so heavenly that I wanted to eat ten more boxes! Crispy on the outside, soft on the inside, with a special sauce, dried fish flakes, and mayonnaise—this is pure bliss! Walking further, I discovered okonomiyaki, a thick pancake with pork and fresh shrimp, topped with a sweet sauce. Pairing it with warm sake was pure happiness I didn’t want to end. There were also adorable dessert shops with beautifully decorated treats that were almost too pretty to eat. The staff were so kind, chatting with us in simple Japanese, which I tried my best to understand and respond to. The atmosphere was incredibly warm and welcoming. ⸻ Day 2: Kuromon Market and Shinsaibashi - Shopping and feasting galore I woke up early to visit Kuromon Ichiba Market, a bustling fresh market in Osaka filled with fresh seafood and mouthwatering food. I tried fresh sushi with perfectly balanced flavors and sweetness. There were also sweet treats like red bean mochi and freshly baked bread. After exploring the market, I headed to Shinsaibashi, Osaka’s longest shopping street. It’s packed with trendy fashion stores, Japanese-style clothing, and affordable cosmetics. I bought cute souvenirs like mochi-shaped keychains and tried unique snacks I’d never had before. I ended up needing extra bags for all my purchases! ⸻ Day 3: Universal Studios Japan (USJ) - Fun that makes you forget fatigue! This was the day I was most excited about—visiting Universal Studios Japan, a paradise for movie lovers and thrill-seekers! I started at the Harry Potter zone, which felt like stepping into a magical world. I strolled through Hogsmeade, sipped sweet and aromatic butterbeer, and rode the Flying Hippogriff, which was both thrilling and fun. Other zones were equally exciting, like Mario Kart, where you can race with friends in a virtual setting. I was so engrossed that I forgot about hunger. The snacks here were adorable, like popcorn in character-shaped bags and Minion-shaped mochi. Everything was so cute that I almost didn’t want to eat them! ⸻ Day 4: Osaka Castle and adorable cat cafes On this relaxing day, I visited Osaka Castle, a must-see landmark. The scenery was stunning, especially during the autumn leaves season. I strolled around the castle, took photos with late-season cherry blossoms, and enjoyed the city view from the castle’s top. Later, I explored Nakazakicho, a charming area filled with cozy cafes and craft shops. I stopped by a cat cafe where the cats were incredibly fluffy and friendly, playing with us like new friends. Sipping hot green tea while listening to the cats’ meows was heartwarming. ⸻ Day 5: Tenjinbashi Market and souvenir shopping before heading home On the last day, I visited Tenjinbashisuji Shotengai, Japan’s longest shopping street. It’s filled with street food and adorable souvenirs. I tried crispy Japanese snacks and bought authentic green tea to take home. The market had a friendly and warm vibe, giving me a glimpse of real Japanese life. Before heading to the airport, I enjoyed coffee by the river in Osaka, reminiscing about this trip filled with smiles, fun, and the warmth of the people here. ⸻ Final Thoughts 💖 Osaka is a city that has it all—fun, delicious food, rich culture, and the kindness of its people.
