Review of a trip to Osaka, Japan 🍡🎉

The city of fun and smiles Hello everyone! Today, Boom is here to share her experience traveling to Osaka—a city full of vibrant colors, cuteness, and endless deliciousness. This trip was with friends, lasting 5 days and 4 nights. Let me tell you, Osaka is a city that fills your heart with joy and makes you want to visit again and again. ⸻ Day 1: Arrival in Osaka and wandering around Dotonbori After landing at Kansai Airport, we quickly bought JR train tickets to head straight to Dotonbori. This area is filled with vibrant neon lights and countless restaurants. Just walking through feels like stepping into a cartoon world. Upon arrival, we had to take a photo with the iconic Glico sign, a symbol of Osaka that we’ve seen in movies and reviews. At night, the flashing lights of the sign are stunning, making us feel incredibly excited. The food here is amazing! We tried takoyaki—crispy on the outside, soft on the inside, with fresh octopus filling, topped with sweet sauce and fragrant dried fish flakes. It was so delicious we forgot about counting calories. We also tried okonomiyaki, a thick pancake filled with vegetables and meat, which was perfectly flavorful. As we strolled around, we found many sweet shops and cute souvenir stores, making it hard to choose. The friendly and cheerful Japanese people we met warmed our hearts even more. ⸻ Day 2: Kuromon Market and Shinsaibashi—shopping and eating galore The next morning, we visited Kuromon Ichiba Market, a paradise for food lovers. This fresh market offers a variety of seafood and snacks. We tasted small, fresh sushi bites that were sweet and juicy, as well as grilled fish that was aromatic and flavorful—like savoring the freshness of Japan’s seas. Afterward, we went shopping at Shinsaibashi, Osaka’s longest shopping street, filled with fashion stores and affordable cosmetic shops. After shopping until we were exhausted, we stopped by a charming café decorated with flowers and small plants. Sipping hot coffee while listening to soft music was the perfect way to relax. ⸻ Day 3: Thrills at Universal Studios Japan (USJ) This day was all about fun at Universal Studios Japan. It was incredibly exciting! We enjoyed various rides, especially in the Harry Potter zone, which felt like stepping into a magical world. We strolled through Hogsmeade, sipped sweet and creamy butterbeer, and rode the thrilling Mario Kart-themed attraction. Throughout the day, we encountered adorable characters, took photos with them, and felt like we were living in a fairy tale. It was a day filled with laughter and happiness. ⸻ Day 4: Osaka Castle and a cute cat café Today was a more relaxed day at Osaka Castle, a significant symbol of the city. We admired the beautiful autumn foliage in the surrounding gardens, which were peaceful and perfect for photography. In the afternoon, we explored Nakazakicho, a trendy area filled with cafés and craft shops. We visited a cat café where the cats were incredibly fluffy and friendly, playing and cuddling with us. Sipping tea while playing with cats was pure bliss. ⸻ Day 5: Tenjinbashi Market and souvenir shopping before heading home On the last day, we wandered through Tenjinbashisuji Shotengai, Japan’s longest shopping street. This community market offers plenty of snacks and adorable souvenirs. We bought lots of goodies to take home, including sweets and cute items. Strolling through the market gave us a glimpse of the laid-back Japanese lifestyle. Before boarding the plane, we enjoyed coffee by the river, reminiscing about the charming and warm Osaka. We hope to return soon. ⸻ Final thoughts 💖 Osaka is a city full of vibrant colors, delicious food, and kind-hearted people. This trip rejuvenated my spirit and allowed me to experience the beauty of Japanese culture up close.
