Adora Magic City Cruise – My Honest Experience

#cruiseholiday We set sail on Chinese New Year’s Eve for a 6-day, 5-night journey. Honestly? I felt it was a bit too long. Even though we stayed in a comfortable balcony cabin on Deck 6, the ship definitely rocked — not side to side, but more of an up-and-down motion. I found that easier to handle, but the movement was especially noticeable on Day 1 and the last two days. What I Loved: • Decks 9, 10, and 11 were my favorites — beautiful open views of the sea. On rainy or windy days, though, some access points are blocked for safety. • Buffet meals (breakfast, lunch, and dinner) were decent! • Deck 2 hosts a large hall-style buffet, but it gets super crowded. • Deck 9 is more chill, split into smaller sections, but every zone has the same food options. • Tip: Try to go early during mealtimes — the ship is packed when fully booked. • There are also optional paid dining venues for those wanting something extra or different. Port Stops: 1⃣ Miyako Island • We got off around 12:30 PM for free exploration. • The beach was a lovely choice, and I recommend stopping by Blue Seal Ice Cream — the shop’s design is vibrant and very photogenic! 2⃣ Naha • A much bigger city than Miyako. • Don’t miss Kokusai Dori (International Street) — it’s a must-walk for food, shopping, and local vibes. Final Thoughts: While the rocking motion might not suit everyone (especially on longer itineraries), the views, food, and shore excursions made it worth it for me. If you’re considering the Adora Magic City, I’d say go for shorter routes unless you really love time at sea.
