Walking 10,000 steps on the first day felt like climbing a mountain, and my legs were sore the next day. 2. Culinary Experience 1. Delicious noodles: Any small restaurant's beef noodles are delicious, which is very satisfying for a noodle lover like me. 2. Mild hotpot: The hotpot in Luzhou is milder than Chongqing hotpot, not as spicy as imagined. This allows someone like me, who can't handle too much spice, to enjoy the deliciousness of hotpot. 3. Common houttuynia: People here really like houttuynia, so be cautious if you can't eat it. Houttuynia is used as a seasoning in various unexpected places. 3. Climate Characteristics 1. Plum rain season: Luzhou has a plum rain season, with weather forecasts showing continuous overcast days during the day and rain at night for half a month, with an average humidity of 80% recently. 2. Hot weather: It is said that there will be a very hot period later. 4. Vegetation and Insects 1. Vegetation close to the south: The vegetation in Luzhou is very close to the true south, with long hanging plants similar to those in Yunnan. 2. Large cockroaches: The cockroaches in Luzhou are also southern-style. Seeing a thumb-sized cockroach for the first time was quite intimidating. I didn't dare to hit it, and by the time I grabbed something to hit it with, it was gone. I ordered cockroach poison online that night. 5. Language Communication 1. Sichuan dialect is hard to understand: When spoken quickly, Sichuan dialect is hard to understand. When I speak Mandarin, people seem to assume I'm an outsider and switch to Mandarin. The confused and innocent look when I don't understand the dialect. Overall, Luzhou is a very distinctive city. Although I've only been here for a few days, I've already felt its charm.
