Luxor: Walking Through the Timeless Ancient Kingdom

As the ancient capital of Egypt, Luxor boasts monumental historical sites at every turn. On the east side, the journey begins with the Karnak Temple and Luxor Temple, both dedicated to the sun god. The Luxor Temple, especially when illuminated at night, exudes a mystical atmosphere entirely different from its daytime appearance. In the Valley of the Kings, you can witness the actual tombs of pharaohs, with their interior murals still vividly preserved, leaving visitors in awe. The Mortuary Temple of Queen Hatshepsut is another must-visit. Built against a cliff with a terraced structure, this temple showcases the grandeur of a female pharaoh. Although the weather is hot, the dry climate makes it bearable, and most tourist sites are well-equipped with shaded areas and rest spots. Experiencing both the east and west sides in a single day, walking through both the past and present, is an experience unique to Luxor.
