The Most Beautiful Railway Path in Korea Right Now

Every year, around late April to early May, the railway path in Palbok-dong, Jeonju, adorned with blooming white fringe tree flowers, opens to the public. The flowers resemble a blanket of snow, creating a stunning view. The opening hours start at 10 AM, but since the path is so picturesque and a festival is being held this year, many visitors have already started arriving before the official opening time. While some sections of the fringe trees are in full bloom, overall, the flowers are still in the process of blooming, so you’ll see more green leaves than white flowers. By next week’s opening, you’ll likely witness the trees fully covered in white blossoms, resembling bowls of rice. However, as you walk towards the end of the railway path, you’ll find more areas with fully bloomed flowers and fewer crowds, allowing you to enjoy the beauty of the fringe trees and the railway in peace. Along the railway, there are various fun activities and food stalls as part of the festival.
