It is free to visit and is very suitable for railway fans and family travel to take photos and check in. The museum is divided into two parts: indoor exhibition hall and outdoor exhibition. The indoor exhibition mainly displays the history of the Guangdong-Hankou Railway, the equipment used in the construction and maintenance of the railway, etc., while the outdoor exhibition features retired locomotives and train carriages. According to the scenic spot, the Guangzhou Railway Museum was built on the original site of the century-old Huangsha Station. Its predecessor was the cargo warehouse of Guangzhou South Station, and even earlier it was the Huangsha Station of the Guangdong-Hankou Railway. The Guangdong Railway originated from the Guangdong-Hankou Railway in the late Qing Dynasty.
