Guangzhou Railway Museum and Riverside Park.

The museum is located at Yujian Road, Huangsha Avenue, Guangzhou City, covering an area of about 30,000 square meters. It consists of two indoor exhibition halls and one outdoor exhibition area. The museum was built on the original site of the Huangsha Railway Station, which has basically retained its original architectural style. It currently houses over 4,000 historical relics and old objects, making it the largest transportation-themed museum in South China. Today is October 4, 2024, the fourth day of the National Day holiday. However, there are very few visitors to the Railway Museum. Perhaps not many people know about the museum? Today, I wanted to go to the Riverside Park, so I navigated by car to the Riverside Park. The navigation prompted me to turn right, and on the right side was the Guangzhou Railway Museum. Therefore, the Guangzhou Railway Museum is located in the Riverside Park, which is a green belt along the Pearl River. In the outdoor exhibition area, there are some green train carriages and red locomotives. The locomotives have a large headlight above them, similar to the headlights of cars. The outdoor exhibition area has a narrow-gauge railway track. In the early days, railway tracks around the world were not the same, with widths ranging from a few hundred millimeters to over two thousand millimeters. Later, they were unified to a width of 1435 millimeters. Tracks narrower than 1435 millimeters are called narrow-gauge tracks. Today, the two indoor exhibition halls are not open, possibly because they have not yet opened. There are workers working inside, and visitors are watching the old trains, taking photos, and playing in the outdoor exhibition area. In summary, the Guangzhou Railway Museum integrates exhibition, collection, display, popular science, and education. It is especially worth taking children to visit.
