Main Entrance The first thing you see is an ancient archway with the words "Caotang" (Thatched Cottage) engraved on it. This archway is one of the iconic buildings of Du Fu Thatched Cottage. Daxie Walk along the central axis to Daxie. Daxie is an open hall-style building with a statue of Du Fu inside. Shishitang Continue walking to Shishitang. Shishitang is the main building of Du Fu Thatched Cottage, with a statue of Du Fu and a large number of poetry manuscripts, calligraphy, and paintings. The name Shishitang comes from Du Fu's poetry, which is known as "poetry history." Chaimen Turn left to Chaimen. Chaimen is a simple wooden door and one of the entrances to Du Fu Thatched Cottage. The name Chaimen comes from Du Fu's poem "Ke Zhi" (A Guest Arrives), which reads, "The flower path has never been swept for a guest, today the brushwood gate opens for you." Gongbu Temple Continue walking to Gongbu Temple. Gongbu Temple was built to commemorate Du Fu's position as an official in the Ministry of Works, and it houses statues of Du Fu and his family. Thatched Cottage Turn right to Thatched Cottage. The Thatched Cottage was rebuilt according to the description in Du Fu's poetry, recreating the living scene of Du Fu at that time. Tang Dynasty Ruins Continue walking to the Tang Dynasty Ruins. The Tang Dynasty Ruins is an important archaeological discovery in Du Fu Thatched Cottage, showcasing the architectural remains and cultural relics of the Tang Dynasty. A large number of pottery, bronze, and iron artifacts were unearthed here. Bonsai Garden Turn left to Bonsai Garden. Bonsai Garden is a garden landscape in Du Fu Thatched Cottage, with various flowers and bonsai plants. Huajing Continue walking to Huajing. Huajing is a small path lined with flowers on both sides and is a famous attraction in Du Fu Thatched Cottage. The name Huajing comes from Du Fu's poem "Jiangpan Dubu Xunhua" (Walking Alone by the River in Search of Flowers), which reads, "Huang Siniang's house is full of flowers, thousands of flowers press down the branches." Yingbi Turn left to Yingbi. Yingbi is a wall carved from bluestone, with Du Fu's poetry and portraits engraved on it. The architectural style of Yingbi is simple and elegant, complementing the surrounding garden landscape. Dayatang Continue walking to Dayatang. Dayatang is a magnificent building with large murals and sculptures themed on Du Fu's poetry. The name Dayatang comes from Du Fu's poem "Xi Wei Liu Jueju" (Six Jueju Poems), which reads, "Separate the false from the true, be close to elegance, learn from many teachers, and they are your teachers."
