The location is good: half an hour walk from the bus station (2 km), 300 rupees (85 rubles) by tuk-tuk, this is the general price for such a distance throughout the country for reference. All the local infrastructure is along this very central road: a couple of supermarkets, ATMs, many shops with food, clothes, small items, a little further on a market and fruit trade. A side road leads to the hotel, the main landmark to it is the local hospital. At the corner of the turn to the hotel there is a local eatery, which was praised in reviews, we did not eat there, so I can not say anything, but the locals sat there every evening.
The hotel has a quiet road, large cars do not go there, a nice green area. We were immediately checked in. If necessary, they feed you breakfast, we had food from home with us, so we did not order breakfast. There is no kettle in the room, but upon request the hostess brings a large teapot with hot water and cups. There is no refrigerator in the room either, but the main thing is there is air conditioning. A complimentary bottle of water, there is a fumigator - turn it on right away. There is soap, shampoo, liquid hand soap.
The hotel offers a spa, an extensive entertainment program: transport rental, excursions, safari. We didn't use anything ourselves, we walked around on our own, but I took a photo with prices for information.
What you should consider:
- only one socket, take your own tee;
- a strong smell of mothballs in the bathroom, most likely either they are fighting insects, or the smell/mold from the pipes;
- the bathroom visually requires repair (mold stains, etc.), but most likely it will help for a short time, because this is the climate and you just need to put up with it and relax.
After visiting the ancient city, I checked in to the hotel. It is very close to the scenic area, and it is only a 10-minute walk. 570 / night, outdated facilities, rooms are relatively tide, the price difference between the previous night and the Candara Heritage Hotel is only one hundred, but it can not be compared, the cost performance is extremely low, it is not recommended to stay at all. The hotel is built next to a lake. This lake is said to be the largest lake in Sri Lanka. Before booking, I saw some wild elephants drinking water in the morning near the hotel lake, so I booked it without hesitation. I had imagined sitting on the balcony overlooking the lake and eating the noodles of the motherland, but I opened the balcony door and found that I could not see the lake at all, and was covered by the canopy. I ran to the lake in the evening to wait for the elephant to drink water. , The elephant did not come.
Sri Lanka La Galata Hotel, the location is okay, the service is okay, the environment is only average, it is cheap, the hotel is convenient for travel, and the meals are passable
The map is accurately positioned, the boss is very enthusiastic, the environment is good... The fly in the ointment is the general health, the hardware facilities are aging... It is the boss's own house and homestay, I hope to do better in the future
A very friendly owner and always cared for me. The bottleneck is that there is no wifi in the room and it is a little far from the city, but other than that, I am very satisfied. When I went, it was saved that there were almost no other customers and it was in a chartered state.
A lovely little homestay, very convenient for visiting the Pollonaruwa ancient city. It’s not a tourist town but worth a visit for a taste of central Sri Lanka. The family were very helpful and welcoming, and both dinner and breakfast were delicious. It’s a bit of a distance from town but there’s a very nice walk along the lake that takes you right to the ticket office.
I recently stayed this hotel and overall had a wonderful experience. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, the rooms were clean and comfortable, and the location was perfect for exploring the area. The breakfast was also a nice touch—fresh and with a good variety.
However, the only downside was the Wi-Fi. It was either very slow or not working at all during most of my stay, which was a bit frustrating since I needed to do some work online. I mentioned it to the front desk, but unfortunately, the issue wasn’t resolved.
If you don’t rely heavily on internet access during your stay, this place is a great choice. But for remote workers or those needing reliable connectivity, keep this in mind

VVarvaraStop for one night in the economy room. It is clear that for such a price it is not worth expecting anything substantial, but the mattresses were straight very bad, just a piece of fine poron, which is instantly sold to the most boards and in fact lie almost on boards. But it was all expected for such a price, so in general approx. Beautiful territory with garden and tables with views on the rice field.
What spoiled the impression: Breakfast! Ordered it extra because it did not go out in the cost of the housing, and I definitely don't recommend taking it in this place. This is not like a classic Lanca breakfast that is served in hotels of the same price category, and is twice as expensive as the same!

方方The hotel is in a good environment, facing the Great Lakes. There are unwashed small stains on the sheets. At night, I went to the hotel to recommend the boat trip to the lake to watch the birds and watch the sunset. It is a very rare experience. When I came back, it was already dark. The moon in the sky, the light of the hotel on the shore, and the chanting of the monks. . . The whole process of paddling by two young people is very hard and environmentally friendly. The next day, there was some unpleasantness at the checkout. The dinner expenses that had been paid by my husband were in the blink of an eye and the same fee-paying waiter planned to take the payment of my friend. . .
GGuest UserWhen I booked the hotel, I felt that the overall hotel in Sri Lanka was not cheap. I saw a hotel in Anuradpur without seeing the price + environment. I simply decided this one. The trial and error cost was low. I didn't expect it but it was quite good.
There are not many hotel rooms, the service can keep up, there is no decoration in the room, there are a lot of geckos outside, but there are no geckos in the room, no mosquitoes, this is very good. Hotel breakfast can choose Western and Sri Lankan (basically every hotel is like this), the weight is very sufficient. I think it's the king of cost performance.
YYann FungA tranquil and healing experience! Professional Ayurvedic treatments, friendly staff, and organic meals complement this truly relaxing retreat. This immersive environment is perfect for those seeking a deeper well-being experience.

SShankongzhuanzhuSri Lanka Habarana Cinnamon Villas, my friend accidentally popped up on ”Nar.com” and ended up booking the wrong way. After many negotiations to cancel the order, it was unsuccessful. We crossed mountains and ridges all the way, and when we arrived at the hotel, we were told that there was no information. After coordination by Ctrip's overseas department, we finally checked in. The watermelon juice for breakfast at the hotel was not fresh, so I didn't dare to drink it today.
CChiara Martina LoiThe property is located in front of the lake. Immersed in nature it is very suggestive.
We arrived around 6pm and unfortunately the pool closed at 6.30pm so we didn't have time to test it. They offer free spa service but massages are subject to charges.
The restaurant is well stocked with alcohol, you can eat discreetly buffet-style cuisine, both typical Asian and international, for around €15 per person. Breakfast is also a buffet; you can find sweet/savory products and freshly cooked eggs.
Our room (deluxe double) was very nice, on two levels: in the lower part the bathroom has a particular concept. A sliding door takes you directly into the room with a half roof covered only by a net. All very beautiful but impractical and above all there is the risk of finding many insects, as in our case.
In the upper part there is the bedroom, very comfortable.
The upholstery is not entirely clean and this contrasts with the entire structure.
