Overall, a very enjoyable stay at this hotel. Super excellent price paid on Trip.com. Unfortunately, there were a few things that occurred that spoiled the stay a little bit, but not enough to stop us from staying here again in the future. The one elevator broke down and we had to climb to the 5th floor on a couple of occasions. Reception staff did offer to carry luggage/provide assistance if required. Had to use the stairs to get downstairs when the elevator wasn't working. When we used the stairwell nearest room 524, we were unable to exit to the reception/breakfast area. Had to climb back up stairs to another floor, then walk along corridor to stairs nearest elevator. I requested that a sign be attached to door indicating that no exit to reception....an emergency exit to outdoors only, but this wasn't done, although I was told it would be passed on to the relevant person to action. The elevator was fixed during our stay. Charging points/plugs stopped working during the night so that devices weren't fully charged in the morning. Reception agreed to alert electrician to check this out. Breakfast was more extensive than previously. Additional cooked items available, making it a great alternative to paying for an English breakfast at a more expensive hotel (although not as extensive as a FULL English). Plenty of cereal, bread, pastries, mini pancakes and drinks. All staff always pleasant and did their best to accommodate an enjoyable stay.

Definitely a economical for field trip travellers and right on track of top the sustainable goals. Check-in, rest, housekeeping and other facilities outside the room went smoothly staying comfortably, had a superb breakfast adequate period of ”brunch on weekends. so appreciation goes to Concierge.

Decent and comfortable, staff keep rooms clean and tidy everyday. Just lacking amenities like toiletries and drinking water

Excellent reception staff on arrival friendly and helpful, bar was nice and relaxing plenty of places to sit and drink...restaurant looked equally as nice although we didn't eat ...pool looked plenty big and gym facilities looked good to ...we only stayed one night so didn't use everything but I would definitely stay again ...room was a good size bathroom looked a little tired but was nice and clean plenty of towels ect and soap,hand lotion, body wash,shampoo ect was nice for a quick shower before check out.

A good place to stay except water pressure of shower still leaves much to be desired. Will like to come back and see if it gets improved in the future!

Such a great team, extremely friendly they have just refurbished the rooms and hotel The mocktails were amazing The food is extremely good, I actually invited my local friends down for Dinner and lunch and they were talking about it the next day which is always a good sign. I would definitely stay again the only thing I would say, is the beds/mattress are extremely firm. But everything else is perfect 👌

Cosy hotel with a bit of character. I liked the exposed wooden beams in the rooms. Staff really friend and helpful. 50% off first drink at the bar is always welcome. Comfortable rooms with air con and pristine bathroom. Shower pressure was such a treat! Would stay again. Missed the breakfast as had to leave early but it smelt delightful.

This hotel has got high standards on cleanliness and service consistently. On a bitterly cold weekend the room was warm throughout. In fact very comfortable bed and no need for extra blanket. 2 small issues. The pillows were a bit lumpy but fine and the restarant did not serve evening meals to our liking but overall outstanding !!! Cannot wait to return.

The location is super good, close to the cathedral, and the service standards of chain hotels are met. The disadvantage is that there is no elevator. The advantage is that the environment of the breakfast room is really good, and it takes a little longer to cook breakfast every time.

FREEZING COLD. Window don't shut. And they haven't even put a extra heater in the room to help. The window has clearly been like that for a while. SORT IT OUT. Thanks..I had an awful night sleep and feel I want my money back tbh..

Good 4 star hotel. Great spa and gym . Late check out could be better priced.

Beautiful and lovely surroundings. A lot to choose from for breakfast. Most of the staff are nice, but there is one guy who is not that nice very rude the way he talks and answering questions. There is two glass in the bathroom which is fine but if you request for a glass to drink in the room they will still bring you the same kind of glasses to you. I think they should have different shapes of glass for different purposes. Also some of their tea cups are too big and is not classy at all.

The manager was helpful and friendly l. He booked taxis for work and saved my food in the fridge for next day. Neat and warm place , very authentic and serene atmosphere in surroundings Worth the stay for a memorable experience .

The best hotel we have been in this trip, lovely buildings, nice reception, and a perfect breakfast, room is big and bed is very soft and comfortable. Very clean and quiet for a nice evening, outside you can see the cathedral, generally, I will choose here again in the future

I had previously booked a cricket court hotel and could not stay due to room restrictions. I temporarily rebooked this hotel. Although the cricket court hotel agreed to cancel, I still charged 80 pounds a day for my room. Houses from the past, designed very warm, the courtyard has characteristics, the rooms are comfortable, will stay again in the future

Felt super scary at first with the cracking floor, tilted walls, big mirror, and 512 years history, but later the place showed its charm - very lively at night with people chilling at the backyard, nice restaurant on site, being right opposite to the Anne? Gate which leads you to the Salisbury Cathedral. I prob would choose to stay here again next time I visit Salisbury! Btw the staff are warm hearted and helped us deal with our Apple Watch forgot in the room. Much appreciated!

the location is great for visiting Stonehenge, the room is spacious, the bath water is hot enough.

This is an old country hotel. The nameplate says it opened in the 17th century. The facilities inside are well maintained. The exterior is relatively simple, and you need to carry your own luggage up the stairs, and the winding road is not easy to walk.

The room was huge! The heating is great! The whole family is very happy!
