Place is amazing clean , fresh and of high standard . But when it comes to booking and service this is another story .. for the money I paid to stay 2 night I thought this would be the perfect place to rest I’m 5 star style .. place yes , service a disaster. Firstly when I arrived at Swiss bel .. I went to reception to book in as I booked online a queen bed room he asked if I had a vehicle I said yes agreed to the $35 a night and he said he would just take it out of the bond I paid at end if that was ok I said yes perfect .. when I got up to my room it was 2 single I called reception and advised I had booked a queen bed and there is 2 singles he said oh the house keeper hadn’t changed the beds or didn’t look at booking , I asked if someone could just come up and fix .. he said there is noone to do this now come down and j will find another room for you . I went down stairs said I would go get something to eat and when I come back hopefully a room will be sorted. I came back he advised me that he had upgraded me and I asked if I could have the new key and I will switch rooms and come back down with the other key to save me bringing my luggage down and then back up again. I got to room and key didn’t work to go to 6th floor . So I brought my luggage down and told reception that key didn’t work . He said sometimes this happens with those keys /actually quite often said he would come up with me and check . Yes card did not work so he used his staff card to let me in said he would fix and come back . He came back 10mins later to test and it had been foxed . Not sure what the upgrade as as room was smaller than the first , had no shower gel (was empty container when I went into have a shower) thought it may have been replenished on next day with room Clean still empty on second day and cleaner took face washers and never replaced them so I washed with shampoo and a hand towel .. when I came back on second day went to put card into open the car park and it didn’t work .. I went to reception to let them know I was trying to get into car park and the card doesn’t work, she (Asian lady) advised me that I hadn’t paid for parking .. I had to explain everything from the night before then asked me they will take it out of my bind I said yes that’s what I agreed with the night before . No apology just more interested in getting payment for parking. She added parking to Card then said she would come out and make sure it worked as I said the night before man had to come And make sure carry worked she forgot card for The card so Went back into get then came out .. followed me down then gave me a card .. I later received a phone call from a lady called Theresa asking how my stay was and I explain that it has been the most disappointing experience I have had ever ! Explained the above she said she would come and replace the shower gel and face washers I said it’s ok I have already had my shower used a hand towel and shampoo because I’m already in bed .. she said that I hope that my stay apologetic on my experience already , I hope it is better from now and if I need anything to contact her and ask for Theresa I said thank you I appreciated the call … then then 10 Minutes later she comes knocking on my door I have to get dress to answer the door she knocks again I said I’m coming She is at the door with the shower gel and face washers getting me out of bed . I understand why she brought it but I told her I was in bed and I had already showered . So then I go to hand my key in to check out to be told I have outstanding parking I need to pay .. I advised Theresa that it is coming out of the bond payed and this has been told now to 3 people .. as I said place is absolutely fantastic.. apart from missing shower gel and tissues Not sure what or how I was uograded as the room was smaller and no window as in first room 506 to 606

Hotel ini berlokasi strategis, hanya 1 menit berjalan kaki dari stasiun kereta ringan. Saya tiba setelah pukul 9 malam, sehingga proses check-in menjadi kurang nyaman. Mengikuti petunjuk resepsionis ke lantai dua, saya menemukan tanda yang mengatakan bahwa saya harus masuk dari lantai satu terlebih dahulu. Namun, pintu masuk lantai satu membutuhkan kartu untuk check-in. Saya harus mengikuti orang lain untuk masuk. Hanya ada satu petugas keamanan yang memberi saya sebuah amplop; saya memasukkan kartu kamar dan pemberitahuan itu ke dalamnya, dan melakukan check-in di meja resepsionis keesokan paginya.

Excellent location, lovely apartment, and great facilities. We really enjoyed our stay and would happily come back again. Highly recommended!

This is a hotel that up to standard - it may not be the best in the world but I believe it is one of the best in Cairns. The location is a bit far - it take a good 15 mins walk to likely everywhere in Cairns city center. However it is one of the newest hotel in the town and could give you a good and fair service. The buildings in the hote and the pool is beautiful. When you walk around the town you will find all big brands hotel in the world but they all looks like historical buildings.

Lokasinya luar biasa... hanya berjalan kaki singkat ke Surfers Paradise dan Skypoint tepat di sebelahnya. Mudah diakses dari bandara karena halte trem berada tepat di sebelah Skypoint. Banyak pilihan kafe dan restoran. Kami tidak menggunakan kolam renang atau pusat kebugaran. Suara bising terdengar dari kamar karena dindingnya tipis. Proses check-in mudah... staf tidak banyak memberi tahu tentang fasilitas resor dan kami menemukan kata sandi WiFi berdasarkan stiker di dinding dapur. Balkon kamar kami menghadap ke kolam renang, yang sangat bagus.

We were absolutely delighted with the complimentary room upgrade — such a wonderful surprise that made our stay even more special. This isn’t our first time staying at Crowne Plaza, and once again it reminded us why we keep coming back. The location is excellent, just a 2-minute walk to the tram station, which was especially convenient for me after my recent TKR. Getting around to must-see attractions was effortless, and visiting the SkyPoint Observatory Deck was a highlight. Overall, we were very happy with our stay — so much so that we felt we should have extended an extra night. Highly recommended for comfort, convenience and great service.

We loved the location of this hotel. Close enough to the main strip to enjoy everything Surfers Paradise has to offer, but far enough away to avoid the constant noise, crowds, and parking chaos. The main area was extremely busy, so we quickly discovered that e-bikes were the best way to get around. Surfers Paradise itself was great: lively atmosphere, plenty of activity, shops open late, great food options, and lots of buskers. We booked a two-bedroom apartment with a sea view, and it absolutely delivered in terms of view and location. The hotel facilities were excellent — indoor and outdoor pools, spa, sauna, steam room, gym, and tennis courts. Our teenagers especially enjoyed making the most of all these amenities. However, there were some significant issues that impacted our stay. We were in apartment 26B and had no air-conditioning for the entire six-day stay, which was very difficult given it was summer. We also didn’t realise that reception is only staffed for limited hours. When we called early in the day and again around 4pm, no one was available. We eventually managed to speak to someone on day two or three, and the hotel manager came to assist, but unfortunately there was little he could do. We were told the compressor was likely failing, meaning the air-conditioning could not be used at all. It was frustrating to be sold a five-night stay knowing the apartment was not in full working order. Cleanliness was another concern. The floors throughout the apartment were sticky and grimy, with the kitchen floor feeling particularly oily and unclean. One of our sons found the couch sticky to the touch, and there was hair present in the bathroom which was disappointing. While we genuinely loved the hotel, its grounds, and its facilities, there is clear room for improvement in both cleanliness standards and customer service. Additionally, we encountered an unpleasant interaction with a long-term resident who complained about our children playing in the pool with a small rubber ball, claiming it was against the rules, despite other children—including her own—jumping into the pool. Given it was the school holidays and many families were using the facilities appropriately, the complaint felt unreasonable. It was also mentioned to us that lower-floor residents occasionally complain about noise from pool users, which may be an ongoing issue when short-term stays are accommodated. Overall, the property has great potential, but improvements in maintenance, cleanliness, and guest communication would significantly enhance the experience.

Benar-benar menikmati masa menginap kami di Dorsett. Resepsionis, khususnya Don, dan ”con”ciege sangat ramah. Hal-hal kecil seperti menyediakan air minum kemasan gratis sudah sangat menyenangkan. Akan lebih baik jika ada jubah mandi di area kolam renang, tetapi kolam renangnya tetap bagus. Tidak ada kursi santai di dalam air seperti yang ditunjukkan salah satu foto, tetapi anak-anak tetap menikmati kolam renang. Lokasi yang bagus dengan Pacific Fair di seberang jalan dan akses ke Star Hotel/Kasino juga bagus.
