Hotel Laico Hammamet

Sejour remarquable !

This is definitely not a 5 star hotel in any sense of the word. I’ll have to break it down : The rooms : we got upgraded for free upon arrival. The room was very dusty with marks where they’d wiped it quickly with a wet cloth. The air con in the room works well. The toilet constantly smelt awful with a foul sewage smell we had to purchase our own air freshener. The bath shower curtain was also covered in mould and the sink and bath drain extremely slowly. Probably due to blocked pipes ?. Added photos of the shower curtain below. Staff : Some of the reception staff were miserable but only 1/2 that we saw the whole week we were here. The man we booked in with in the evening was so polite and respectful. I don’t remember his name but he was bald and had glasses. Bar tenders were also very nice and respectful even during the busy times usually during the evenings. Which goes to show it is a possibility. Animation team were amazing and tried to talk to all guests or as many as they could. Cleaners seem nice but don’t speak English. Always smiled when we saw them and said hello. Lunch time restaurant staff were lovely and extremely attentive. Dinner time staff on the other hand some were absolutely miserable and disgraceful. One evening we were passed multiple messages on napkins (pictures below) one man was at least 50. We needed up with a pile of napkins on the table. Entertainment : There was live music most days by either a man with a saxophone a man with a keyboard or the entertainment team. The entertainment the majority of the time was nothing to fault. Amenities : There was 2 pools salt water and one fresh water which both seemed to be clean and were both watched by lifeguards during their open hours. Near the pool at the back of the hotel (the bigger one) there was the same foul sewage smell from the room. (Sort of like eggs) and there were so many flies which apparently is normal here. The sun beds were stained with mould and piss (pictures below). The public toilets in the hotel were absolutely disgusting. I had to go to my room every time I needed the toilet as I didn’t want to use them they stank so bad and there was just faeces everywhere. Food hall : Cafeteria seating area is big but the actual buffet itself isn’t very big and didn’t have many options. It’s a lot of fish. The food is good but it’s the same food everyday. And what doesn’t get eaten at lunch gets reused for dinner which isn’t an issue. Some of the plates in the restaurant were dirty not an issue tho just grab another plate. The amount of food wasted by guests was shocking (which I’m aware isn’t a hotel issue). You have to queue ages for food. Hotel also goes by 2 names online but only 1 once you get here very confusing. ‍♀️ but if you’re looking for honest reviews on the hotel I’d look under blue marine hammamet.

The customer service was great hatem and ghada and Arij were very friendly and accommodating to us specially with their service. Hatem was exceptional in his bar tending service and Ghada was a great animation chief. Also from the check in to the check out has been done with ease.

This hotel is one of the best I have been to by far, service was amazing, Ghada and Arij were very welcoming and hospitable, included everyone in their activities, so it made the experience a whole lot better than it already was. I would highly recommend this hotel for all travellers to the city.

spent a wonderful vacation at the laico hammamet Hotel. I was very happy. This is the second time I have come here. The first time was in June. It was very wonderful. Night parties with the animation team and sports games during the day with Mimi. By the way, I want to thank her for her efforts with us. You are the best. The restaurant and bar staff are also good people who always strive to please us

This hotel is very beautiful. I enjoyed the vacation I spent in this hotel, especially with the activation team. Special thanks to jiji , who has the beautiful smile. In short, the Laico Hammamet hotel combines luxury, comfort and hospitality to offer an enriching experience to all types of travelers, whether they are on vacation, on their honeymoon or on a business trip.
