St Maur

We have to echo all the 5 Star reviews on this beautiful place. From booking with David to arrival and our stay it has been superb. The room is on the second floor, yes a few stairs but very much worth it. We stayed in room seven that has a Juliette balcony and views over the subtropical gardens and the sea. we had a super king size bed which was extremely comfortable. A very large room which was bright and spotlessly clean. The breakfast is fantastic beautifully home-cooked and good quality produce. The fruit selection was plentiful, far more than most hotels. The service we received with Alice was fantastic, polite and professional. We would definitely stay here again. Well done to David and all his staff

Wow! What a find! St Maur is beautifully decorated, immaculate condition throughout with a lovely lounge and bar area. The room was huge and gorgeous with amazing sea views and a little balcony to sit out on too, which is a great touch - with the beautiful gardens in front of you, looking out to sea having a morning coffee you could almost be abroad! The food was delicious and hot. The staff were so friendly and nothing was too much trouble to make your stay a great one. So many extra touches that really made it a 4star experience. Thankyou to the whole team at St Maur we will definitely be back and thoroughly recommend!

Return visit; was as perfect as the first. Lovely homely atmosphere while being professional, clean and comfortable. Excellent service, surroundings and quality. Our room was lovely and was serviced when we were away, amazing view of the gardens, other houses and the sea all in one. The breakfasts are lovely, friendly, helpful staff with a good range of quality food, all in all, a slice of paradise, even with the palm trees.

We have just had a lovely 4 night stay in this B&B. Our room was a good size and comfortable. There’s a good choice for breakfast, with hot breakfasts cooked to order. The garden is delightful. With good weather, the hotel offers superb views to the south.

Lovely big room, balcony looking out to the sea. Great choice for breakfast in the morning. Friendly helpful staff. Fridge in my room. What’s not to love. Would stay here again.

I cannot fault our 2 night stay at St Maur , Very clean room , lovely and quiet, David cooks a lovely breakfast! , We would definitely stay here again when visiting family, One of the best plaices I have stayed in !

A lovely guest house with cosy rooms & a comfy bed, we had a super stay. David is a great host & the breakfasts were varied & delicious. I especially enjoyed the sunny terrace & tropical plants. Very well situated close to the town, coastal path & botanical gardens.

A beautiful property with lovely garden. Our room was very comfortable and spotless. Breakfast generous, including a variety of fresh fruit, staff friendly. We walked to the Botanical gardens easily and Ventnor is very close, walkable too. Parking on site and outside. Would definitely recommend.

We've just had a three night stay at St Maur and thoroughly enjoyed every aspect of it. David and his staff are all so friendly and welcoming. The room we stayed in was spacious and spotlessly clean. Added benefit of a fridge with fresh milk in was a bonus. Excellent cooked to order breakfast. St Maur has a lovely lounge to sit in and also an honesty bar in separate room. It has lovely gardens to sit and relax in. All in all, it is a perfect place to stay! If you stay here, take a short walk from St Maur to Steep Hill Cove (no road access) an unspoilt beautiful little beach.
