This was a substandard property in almost every way. Upon checking in, the front desk was in complete disaray with boxes blocking half of the seating area. I thought it may have been a delivery, but when I went I the next morning, all the boxes were still there blocking the same area. Either they didn’t care or they didn’t want to move/unpack them. In either case, this was not a good first impression. Then there was the room. It was below average for a Super 8 Motel. Power outlets were literally falling off the wall and a fire hazard waiting to happen. Another outlet had a 3-outlet converter plugged into an already overloaded 2x outlet. Then there was the drawers. Two of the four drawers had coolers in them for the summer season (this was in February). Then there was the bathroom which was acceptable but just barely. Faucet on the shower/tub was loose and made keeping hot water inconsistent. Minor adjus**ents or even just accidentally hitting it caused either scalding water or an ice cold shower. Very finicky to say the least. The one aspect I will concede on is the location. We were finally able to park (parking in winter is challenging, but they did offer “Marshall” passes to park on the street without getting ticketed). Once we parked, we didn’t need to move until we left. The property is only a few minutes walk from the free gondola to Mountain Village and walking distance to anywhere in downtown Telluride.
