Absolute beachfront bungalow! Best snorkelling right out the front of our bungalow. We swam with a green sea turtle right out the front. Bungalow is lovely Polynesian decor, needs a little updating but we have heard that’s coming this year. Great little kitchenette with 4 burner and microwave, good sized new fridge. Across the road and down from Wigmores Superstore with well priced supplies if you like to cook some nights to save $. Free snorkel gear and kayaks. Staff amazing! So friendly and nothing was a problem. Yellow Hibiscus restaurant well priced and excellent food. BBQ night on Sundays is a must plus happy hour Fridays with live music and free house wine and local beer. I can honestly say it was a wonderful boutique resort that we would stay at again.

We stayed at Palm Grove as a Family and had the most wonderful time. We were all made so very welcome and cannot thank all the staff enough. It was a very special time for us all and we had a great stay. Our accommodation was perfect, beautiful location and very clean. The Yellow Hibiscus Restaurant served exquisite food and drinks. The breakfast was delicious everyday with the option of a cooked breakfast which the children had on a number of occasions. We recommend snorkeling at the beautiful Lagoon, it will not disappoint. We were all very sad to say goodbye and are looking forward to our next visit. Again, thank you to the fabulous staff, perfection every time we visit. McFarlane and Brown Family - New Zealand

When planning the trip to Rarotonga, our travel agent offered a number of accommodation options to choose from. I read up on each one, but for some reason, I was continually drawn to Palm Grove. We are so pleased I chose this resort. Once we got thru customs, we were immediately greeted by Thai with leis. Once we checked in at the airport location, we were whisked away to the resort. Our flight from Honolulu arrived late at night, but Thai made sure everything was "good to go" upon arrival. Our bungalow was situated on the beach (less than 20 yards from the ocean) with amazing views. From that point on, our stay was fabulous, the service was impeccable, and anything we needed was readily available. Daily room service, daily breakfast at the Yellow Hibiscus, laundry, pool, Vodafone service, scooter rental, kayak, snorkeling gear, and more. Mama Tum and her crew went above and beyond to ensure our stay was amazing, and it was. Oh, and if you wanted to be "one with nature," the roosters, hens, baby chicks, myna birds, and our local canine (we named Cook) will keep you company. If I may make a brief plug, please donate to the Cook Islands SPCA as they help many of the animals survive day to day. Can't say enough good things about Palm Grove. Definitely a place we'll return to next time we visit Rarotonga.

Palm Grove is as close to perfect as you can get. We stayed in a Bungalow (which was clean and have everything you need) on the beach, and spent days swimming, snorkeling and Kayaking. The resort is immaculate, if it was windy at the beach we spent time by the pool which was protected from the wind. The staff are exceptional, so friendly, and really helpful. The Restaurant was very good and reasonably priced. The resort has a bus stop, and is only a couple of hundred metres from a Supermarket and other restaurants. I'm not sure how they could improve.

After reading all the reviews we thought this place sounded great !!! On arrival the bed configuration was wrong and apparently that was my fault!! NOT!! But they did change it, the attitude of the owner Betsy is terrible, rude, cold, unfriendly, walks past and never speaks, and very unapproachable, didn’t even say goodbye or thanks and the group of us provided her resort with alot of money. The room was cleanish, fridge was rusty, towels had holes in them and cream with age, housekeeping dont do alot, changing towels no sweeping floors or cleaning shower etc and we were there for 10 days. We spoke to some other guests and they had been there 10 years ago and said it was exactly the same then, in need of some serious money being spent on it. On weekends office closes at 12 and you cant get any snorkeling gear until the next morning which is a pain as its locked away and sometimes its a spur of the moment to want to go. The best thing about the place is Mama T an amazing friendly cook island local who works in office and restaurant, nothing was an issue for her and Tai the groundsman and transfer driver, great guy, and the grounds are lovely around the pool. The location is perfect right next to the stunning beach, and the area and garden are well maintained. We stayed in a beachfront studio, and the view was amazing. It felt like we had our own beach, and you can snorkle right from the beach. The accommodation itself was spacious. It could use a bit of an upgrade, but the view made you forget it was a bit dated. The staff was absolutely fantastic and made you feel so welcome. The breakfast is very basic. The Sunday BBQ was so good, and we also enjoyed the a la carte options. You can walk to a small supermarket and a few restaurants.

This place was amazing. We stayed in beach front cottages only steps from the crystal clear water. It was like having your own private beach. The staff were amazing & knew everyone's name. The food at the restaurant was very good & cheap, so that we didn't really have to dine anywhere else. I will definately come back.

A beautiful spot to stay with the beach on your doorstep. We stayed in the beach bungalows with a stunning ocean view, private deck and the beach on our doorstep. Snorkelling was wonderful and the turtle snorkelling tour is 5mins walk. The staff are super friendly, greet you by name and go out of their way to assist you, which only adds to the experience. The rooms are clean, tidy and well maintained. The beach is stunning and this are of coast is a beautiful spot to stay with safe swimming/snorkelling on your doorstep. There is a welcoming pool also and the gardens, grounds etc are kept immaculate. The restaurant ha beautiful food and the complimentary breakfast was also a great start each morning. Will definitely be back!

Beachfront villa was an absolutely superb location to stay in Raratonga. 100% recommend. The private beach and lagoon snorkeling was the best I've every experienced (turtles, octopus, eel and a huge variety of fish!). With kayaks and snorkels you can use free, it made this accessible and easy to enjoy. Staff were lovely, they helped us book activities and serviced the room regularly. Great breakfast buffet, shared book library and laundry facilities. Their Yellow hibiscus restaurant was yum and well priced for lunch and dinner; and located a short walk to Wigmores (supermarket) and adjoining food venue provided essentials and variety to allow us to make home meals and try some local kai. Would be great for couples or families who want special but more affordable options in Raro.
