Tepat di Royal Mile, lokasi sangat bagus dan nyaman. Letaknya juga sangat dekat dengan stasiun kereta, tetapi stasiun kereta sedang dalam pembangunan, saya hampir mati karena kelelahan setelah membawa barang bawaan saya ke atas empat atau lima lantai. Sudah waktunya artis internasional, dan ada artis yang tampil di depan pintu, banyak orang dan ramai sekali, tapi ruangan kedap suara cukup bagus dan tidak berisik sama sekali. Saya memesan dua kamar, dan kamar lainnya berada di pojok dan tidak ada sinyal sama sekali! Saat peak season + festival seni internasional, harga kamar mahal banget 3000+. Kamar agak kecil untuk harga segitu, tapi kebersihan oke. Tapi sarapannya kurang enak, disarankan untuk makan saja di toko roti sebelah.

Beautiful inside since refurbishment and extremely clean . Staff so welcoming and cant do enough for you . Hotel right on Princess Street so very central, beds comfortable and sheets so soft . Breakfast buffet was incredible. Would definitely return .

This hotel is not only near Calton hill and Edinburgh castle,but also on the back of Princess street,very quiet.I accidentally dropped my passport there,they found and kept it for me till I went back,very thoughtful of them.

Location: Very conveniently located right across a couple of bus stops and also a few steps away from Ocean Terminal tram stop. The Oean Terminal has a few well known brand outlets which we did not visit but if you have nothing else to do, it could be a nice way to spend your time. Also the Royal Britannia Yacht is right there. Cleanliness and facilities: just as expected from IHG, very clean and also the facilities that we wanted: luggage storage, a simple bar/ restaurant and hot breakfast. Nothing extraordinary but absolutely essential. Note: scrambled eggs could be better. Service: OK, as expected. We had already sent a note saying we were going to arrive between 1 AM and 1:30 AM, and when we came to the reception around 1:15 AM, they promptly delivered the keys and on the inside of the card was written ”no show”. Which means the reception doing the night shift never saw our note and had already marked us as possible ”no show”. It did not hurt us, but I did not like the fact they never read our note, it shows the impersonal nature of their service. Therefore I deducted one star. Note: The cranberry tea is a nice selection. It helped my headache. Thanks.

Since we booked the room very early, I'm not sure if it was a mistake on my part or the hotel's part. My friend and I had booked a room with two beds, but the rooms in the pictures all had two beds for one person! When we checked in and went to the room, we saw that it was just a big bed, so we immediately went to the front desk to express this situation. After just ten minutes, they changed the room for us to a room with two beds! Thank you for your active assistance! gratitude!

Kinerja hotel secara keseluruhan sedikit di atas rata-rata. Hal yang paling memuaskan dari hotel ini adalah lokasinya. Lokasinya sangat strategis bagi para tamu untuk menjelajahi area kastil tua. This is a rather disappointing stay. I hope we can get a proper compensation. 1. The bathroom does not have any basic toiletries, not even hand soap. We had to go down to reception to ask and was given hand lotion and told that it works as hand soap?!? 2. Breakfast is not ready at 7am. Breakfast is supposed to serve from 7 - 10am. On first morning, breakfast spread was not complete because chef came to work late. (Photo shows what was available to guests). We had to leave to catch our day tour bus so we barely ate anything. On the next day, no breakfast was served because there was issues with gas. 3. Room cleaning was not complete. Room cleaning only made the beds and refreshed the towels. The dustbins were not emptied and the toilet papers were not replenished.

Stayed at St Christopher’s Hostel, Edinburgh for a night and it was a good budget choice. The location is excellent, right in the city centre and close to the Old Town and main attractions. Check-in was easy and the staff were friendly and helpful. The dorm was basic but comfortable enough for a short stay. It can get a bit noisy, so earplugs help. Bathrooms and common areas were generally clean considering how busy it is. Overall, it’s a social, well-located hostel—great for meeting people and exploring the city, but not ideal if you want total quiet. Perfect for a short stay in Edinburgh.
