The hotel is appealing and boasts breathtaking views. However, the service at both the Salt Shack and the Tide Pool has been underwhelming. One morning, we faced a lengthy 20-minute wait for a server to attend our table, despite seeing several employees socializing rather than serving guests. Additionally, when we arrived for breakfast at 10:50, we were curtly informed by the hostess that it was too late to place an order, even though breakfast was advertised until 11:00. Clear communication about ordering policies would be appreciated - I thought the breakfast is SERVED until 11:00, not that it has to be ordered, served and eaten by 11:00. At the Tide Pool, the service approach was particularly disappointing. Instead of staff coming to the chairs to take orders, guests were expected to go to the bar themselves. Instead they were just chatting with each other all day long, not paying attention to the guests at all. As a result, we didn't order any drinks, despite spending the entire day at the pool. Given the premium we paid, we expected more attentive service. Our experience was further soured at the Westin hotel spa, where our scheduled appoin**ent was inconveniently rescheduled at the last minute to accommodate another guest, which we found quite disrespectful. Considering hosting our wedding at this resort initially, the poor service has led us to decide against it. We will be taking our business elsewhere.
