Hotel la Paül

This review is for the onsite restaurant as I could not find a separate listing - Ristorante Canneto. We did not stay at the hotel. As an aside, there is no sign at the road advertising this restaurant, we only went there based on our friend's recommendation. On the recommendation of a friend who lives in the area, we ate dinner here one evening. The restaurant is situated at the back of the Hotel La Paul and one can either eat outside on the terrace or inside. Regardless where you chose to sit, the view were wonderful. Parking is also available for free – a plus when visiting this area. Just announce that you will be eating at the restaurant and the gate well be opened. Seafood, vegetarian and gluten free options are available. I chose gnocchi in saffron sauce while my husband had the seafood spaghetti, all washed down with several glasses of excellent white wine. I am not a big eater, but I had no difficulty finishing my meal as it was delicious. My husband, not a huge fan of pasta, pronounced that his meal was supper nice. Service was attentive and the staff very approachable, and the overall cost affordable.

I was very surprised how often he ordered pasta during our trip in Italy. Service was attentive and the staff very approachable, and the overall cost affordable.

I have to say this hotel was amazing in every way possible. The rooms were lovely and cleaned everyday very nicely. Balcony was perfect with the room and hot weather. The staff were very friendly and polite .. food was delicious too! I will definitely be coming back and can definitely recommend to anyone visiting Sirmione 😇

From the moment we arrived until the moment we left all staff were very friendly and helpful. The reception is always manned and helpful with any questions. Our, ground floor room was perfect for us with a door leading directly to the pool. The pool was never over crowded and often only a few people in. We did several pool days and our girls loved it. The room had air conditioning which we were very glad of and a fridge where we could cool drinks etc. The rooms are cleaned everyday unless you use a do not disturb sign. The shower did have a saloon door so you had to be careful not to get water everywhere but that was a minor thing for us. The breakfast buffet was good. My daughter is Gluten Free and allergic to nuts. Staff tried very hard to accommodate for her, giving her a seperate plate of food each morning. We chose to buy gluten free bread and cereal for her to have a bit more variety. But staff were very friendly. There is a place to get a freshly cooked omelette and fried eggs. We sat outside every morning with such a beautiful view. We had a lovely time at this hotel it was a nice size with nothing feeling busy. We also enjoyed the walk to the old town each day as not far.

Myself and my 2 teenage daughters stayed here for 5 nights in a ground floor family room. It was small but clean and functional. The air con was most welcome! The breakfast was very good with lots of choice and we found the staff very polite and helpful. The gardens and lake area are wonderful with lots of sun beds and umbrellas available and a handy snack bar. A lovely chilled vibe and never too crowded or busy. We had an issue with our patio door and the hotel staff very quickly got it sorted whilst keeping us fully informed. We ate at the restaurant one evening as it was raining. We had pizza which was reasonably priced and tasty. The location was great, a pleasant stroll to the bustling town and not far to the shuttle bus stop (which cost just 2 euros). We took the shuttle to stop 10 and were able to catch a bus directly to Verona from there. All in all we had a great stay at Hotel La Paul and recommend it as a perfect base to explore Sirmione and beyond.

Tiny room, the poolarea feels old and not cozy… The staff was nice. Breakfast was quite boring and not so tasty, but when we had lunch in the garden, pizza, salad and burgers- we were surprised- it was really good! Not a place I would come back to though:0)
