The ‘Deluxe room’ was anything but deluxe. On entering the room one of the light switches didn’t work. The other one did, but of the 8 spot lights in the room, only 4 had bulbs and only one of them worked…..so it was pretty dark. The switch that worked also turned on the extractor fan which was extremely noisy so was quickly turned off to avoid possibly upsetting neighbouring rooms. Thought we’d watch tv for a while but this proved difficult as the remote control wasn’t working so had to turn on manually and the screen was stuck on subtitles! Looked for the advertised iPhone charger but there wasn’t one! ‘Luckily’ Simon, the General Manger was front of house for breakfast so we explained our concerns about the room, and his response was very disappointing and gave the impression that he didn’t really care. An apology would have been nice, rather than say have a good day!
