A fantastic stay at Finfoot! Great location, very relaxing. We had a luxurious tent, very well presented and furnished. The staff is very friendly. The activities proposed are great and varied. We were sad to go, but we shall be back. Thank you

Amazingly beautiful welcoming place. Had a very lovely experience at Finfoot lake reserve. The staff are friendly, professional, and always eager to help out the guests. The place is quiet, clean and eco-friendly. The thatched lapa are beautiful and spacious. There is a lot of privacy, the Lapas are not close by hence you can enjoy yourselves without worrying about your neighbors. If you are a nature person Finfoot must be on top of your list. Every activity was done on time and the staff are kind enough to remind your of your schedule and willing to reschedule if there are any issues. The cleaning ladies do their work without disturbing the guests. Animals roam freely around lapas and you can see them literally from you window. Thank you Finfoot for you amazing hospitality.

We received excellent service from the moment we arrived until we left. The staff are all very professional and friendly. Our unit was very clean and comfortable. Every meal was delicious. It would help if guests could be advised in advance of the hyacinth on the dam to avoid disappoin**ent if planning to fish. Either than that, we had an awesome stay.

We had a wonderful experience. Very attentive rangers, well organized with daily scheduled activities for kids and adults. My daughters (10 ,8yrs) had a fantastic time collecting stickers for all activities available so they can win the prizes. Our chalet was clean, cozy and serviced twice a day. We booked with breakfast and dinner daily and ordered lunch from the restaurant which was reasonable. The chalet had a small bar fridge. The food is really tasty, and you burn all the calories during the planned activities;). Lots of animals to see in game drives, bush walks, segway safari tour and canoeing. Rangers are knowledgeable, fun and provide snacks during all the activities. We checked in over the weekend, it was busy with other families and children. We checked out mid-week and it was sooo peaceful. We were the only family with children remaining. Highly recommended!!!

Wow what a hidden gem! Less then 2 hours from Johannesburg but gives you the real bush experience. A perfect family destination with amazing daily kids activities. Everything about Finfoot is great: the super friendly staff, amazing food, accommodation: clean and lovely beds. The daily activities including the Sedgeway tour which was our favorite, the canoeing, bush walk and game drives keeps everyone entertained. For the lazy days a cocktail at one of two swimming pools was a perfect end to a perfect day. We will be going back as soon as we can…

For some R&R outside of the city this is the perfect place. the guides are excellent and reserve staff is very helpful and made our stay just that extra special. There are lots of activities for the young and “old”.The rooms are very neat comfy and cleaned daily.this is Definetly a good break for families with young kids or for a trip with friends.

Finfoot Lake Reserve is one of the most amazing hidden gems in SA. Especially if you are a family looking for entertainment for your children, while parents can enjoy a private, luxurious stay. The 'Explorers Club' not only keep the children busy for hours, but it also teaches them a lot. A very unique initiative by Dream Resorts! I loved all the activities. The lake barge cruise is amazing! Not a lot of places in SA has a lake, hiking trails and wildlife. Service is great! The staff is highly trained, friendly and professional. You can expect service from the moment you enter the premises. The food is out of this world and the restaurant well managed! Highly recommendable

On arrival, we were greeted by an enthusiast security officer who was awaiting our arrival😊 . After a bit of a drive, we were amazed that we had a personal ranger Lianet waiting to officially welcome us to Fin Foot. Timekeeping and close attention to detail from every single member at the lodge was so on point. Our check-in process at reception was done online so we just literally greeted and received big smiles and collected our room keys and were briefed by our ranger regarding all the activities and times etc. Everything at the lodge was just simply amazing from the friendly staff to excellent food to well-planned activities for both adults and children. The kids were so well entertained that you did not even have to try finding things for them to do. I get the NO TV … one does not need one after an enjoyable day out with your ranger in the bush or just relaxing at the lodge. It was amazing to see how much passion each staff member took in their portion of duties at Finfoot, and all were done with big smiles and offered extra kind gestures to all guests. Finfoot is a wonderful getaway place filled with serene nature views, wonderful food and friendly staff who will go out of their way to make sure their guests are well taken care of. The only "small issue" is the 20km dirt road leading to the reserve, but even a small car can drive there. Would gladly recommend this reserve to anyone looking for a relaxing time away from home.
