Nice hotel, really nice staff, very clean, food was decent.. no entertainment at all and the bar was small which was a let down as it was limited seating but close to stretch so there's entertainment there which isn't so bad just miss out when u pay all inclusive

This hotel is not as advertised. We stayed in room 101, 1st floor. Our room was dated, lights flickering, blocked shower, no kitchen plug, fridge didn't work. Overall very grotty and dull. We were all inclusive, the photos advertised are so false. The food was awful, very little selection. Some of the dishes were cold. Kids had one option, mostly foods kids won't eat. Staff were lovely but hovered over you waiting for your plate. I took 2 small buns and 2 slices of ham for my daughter to eat as she is autistic and won't eat with us. This was frown upon. There was so entertainment, no kids club, no life guard, no staff keeping pool area clean. Lunch snacks we're awful, no slushy for kids, ice lollies had to be paid for. The pool was OK, my daughter picked up over 10 tiles from the bottom of the pool. Tiles around the pool are broken and loose. Sun loungers are grotty and quite a few broken. Play area consists of a small slide and a rocking seat. Staff are lovely, hotel is a great location. This hotel is mainly used by owners of the apar**ents. Having spoken to a few of them they have said the hotel just doesn't make any effort anymore and it's gone downhill. I booked this for me and my girls as we have had such a hard year and I was expecting so much more for what I paid. I wouldn't return here.

Despite the wet weather we had a great time .The apar**ent room 704 i think lol we had was great, big enough everything we needed, asked for an iron and the maid was at the door just after i got back up stairs . The room was cleaned every day clean towels every 2nd day , The maid's do a great job, Breakfast staff fantastic and friendly. Well all the staff were great . Thank you all at Club Amarilis would Definitely return .

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and the services provided. Our room was cleaned daily, and towels were changed every two days. The reception staff was incredibly helpful and accommodating. Initially, I was hesitant after reading a mix of negative and positive reviews ranging from 1 to 5 stars. However, I am pleased with the service and feel that I am receiving good value for my money. While there were a few minor issues, such as a broken drawer knob, I have no major complaints as I booked a 3-star apar**ent, not a 5-star one. Typically, we opt for a half-board package, but this time we decided to try self-catering due to our vegetarian and now vegan lifestyle. The apar**ent provided ample pots, pans, and dishes, allowing us to purchase fruits and vegetables from nearby shops. Aldi and Lidl are a 30 to 40-minute walk away, while I found Intermarche to be convenient and reasonably priced, located near the beach just a short walk from the apar**ent. Speaking of the beach, it is only a 5-minute walk away, although I have yet to explore the apar**ent's swimming pool as we spend our days by the sea. Overall, it is a pleasant place to stay with a fantastic location and friendly staff. As we endure the winter weather in the UK, the daily temperatures here range between 20 to 25 degrees, providing a welcome escape.

Like to say we had such a lovely hoilday as family. From 9th December 17th .. Big thankyou for such a wonderful stay we was staying in room 608 it was a fantastic room view over pool and view looking towards the sea with stunning sunrise and sunset every day kitchen had everything and more very good for us the hotel was lovely clean tidy reception staff were fantastic went above and beyond women who worked in restaurant was always so happy helpful such breath fresh air thankyou house keeper's keeping are room clean every day and hotel . I really can not fault the hotel at all yes rooms need a touch up they were fine for us as we was out all day somewhere to put your head down for nite .would l stay at this hotel again 100 % yes we would as family having restaurant and beach only a walk away is also bonus

A tired and dated hotel that is in desperate need of some serious maintenance and a general upgrading. ( compared to its sister hotel, which is really nice) The room was very basic, the beds although comfortable, were single beds despite asking for a double, the sheets were the same width as the bed so the very thin duvet and bed cover was the only thing covering us. All floors are tiled, so in December, its a bit cold. The bathroom had cracks all over the walls, and the worktop around the sink was cracked in 2 corners. The bath mat was old and yellow., so we didnt use it. The living/dining room had a lot of highly polished furniture, but no mats for putting hot drinks or hot food plates on. The kitchen was small, the washing up bowl was too small to even get a plate in it to wash and there was nothing to wash dishes with. The microwave/grill combi had no instructions, and when we opened it there is a big section of the white interior missing showing a big patch of rusty metal. The restaurant was open for breakfast, but instead of the hotplates having hot breakfast food available, there was just 4 bowls under a single lamp of either boiled or fried eggs, baked beans or tinned mushrooms and processed streaky bacon, that was at best lukewarm. The rest of the breakfast stuff, cereals, fruit, bread, toast etc was fine. Due to the time of year, the apar**ent above us used the aircon for warm air, but this meant that the air con unit leaked water and it ran off the balcony onto our balcony below, informed reception but nothing done about it. We tried to get warm air a couple of nights, but as no instructions, we had to try and work it out, could get cold air, but as soon as i pressed warm air, it went off. Praia de Rocha is lovely but we wont be staying at this hotel again as we found far nicer hotels up on the front. The staff were really nice and friendly.

Could not fault this hotel. I would recommend it to others. Myself and my friends stayed here for 4 nights. The first night was nosiey but on asking the next morning we where moved up to room 1010 it was bit old decor but spotless clean . There was a fine big telly with English channels and a coffee machine hair dryer shower gel shampoo. Rooms where cleaned everyday fresh towels. Breakfast had a good variety from hot to cold foods breads something for everyone. Pool area is nice and compact with it's own toilets and small bar nice cocktails. The hotel has a shop directly accross the road. There's a small hill up to the main ***** where you will find lots of bars restaurant good food. And knick knack shops. Very safe area no trouble and no police .

Stayed here for a week in May as a family we had 2 rooms as our son had 3 friends with him, we had 1 room on the 5th floor and 1 on the 6th floor both rooms were spotless spacious and had pool views from the balcony.after landing late we did not arrive at the hotel till midnight but was presented with a bag of goodies for both rooms (apples sandwiches and water) just to see us through till the morning which I thought was a nice touch. People that moan about the hotel clearly expect a lot more for the money they spend, this was a well presented 3 start hotel, there is a small shop opposite the hotel and it’s about a 250 yard walk up a slight slope to the main front where there are shops, bars restaurants and the beach front. The all inclusive food is plenty for a 3 star hotel and there’s no chance of going hungry with the snack bar open between meals, drinks are fine beer is Super Bock and there is vodka, rum and many more spirits also a choice of 3 cocktails again for a 3 star hotel this is fine. Plenty of sunbed availability around the pool and although a little cold the kids had plenty of fun in the pool which is a good size There was no entertainment which was a slight negative and the seating areas in the evening are small but again we could see this was the case before we travelled, pool table in reception good value for money which the kids played a lot in a evening All in all a week away abroad in the sun and everyone came home more relaxed and had a great week The staff were very friendly and always helpful
