"Ada shuttle bus hotel dari Nagoya ke Minami Kodani dengan JR. Sangat nyaman untuk bermain ski langsung dari resor ski, sangat baik untuk perjalanan keluarga dengan anak-anak di malam hari dan sangat aman bagi anak-anak untuk bermain di salju. Tamu hotel bisa mendapatkan diskon untuk meminjam salju, dan menyediakan kotak penyimpanan gratis dan kereta gantung dengan berbagai harga untuk dipilih. "Neat and tidy hostel, quite well organised, with large communal kitchen downstairs. Shared sinks and unisex showers (with anteroom). Men's toilet and women's toilet separately on lvl 2 and 3. Breakfasts were reasonable for a hostel (remember,don't be expecting the swanky 5 star hotel here): sliced ham, edamame beans/corn/lettuce/tomato/broccoli ... soup which alternated from a milky soup and a brown ?onion or beef soup but was tasty ... bread, cereal, tea, coffee. I got the private bedroom which had a double bed on tatami floors and an area which could possibly be storage or made into two smaller flat bunk beds I suppose. No fridge in your room (as is usual in hostels). Other rooms are bunk bed dorms. 300m from gondola (just walk across carpark to ticket office). If you want tickets for local Tsugaike region only, you can purchase these at front desk - you get a discount here! Coin operated laundry (uses 100Y coins). I did not try the sauna or the wagyu hot pot restaurant. Staff spoke enough English to get by easily."

"I've been here for three years in a row. The reason I come every year is the food!!! The homemade rice is superb!!! And you can have as many refills as you want! The side dishes are also carefully prepared one by one, which makes me feel happy. Also, the place is well-cleaned, which makes me feel very comfortable. The view from the room is also amazing! Right in front of the Bell Hill slope! And just a short walk from the gondola! The location is great, so I have nothing to say. I came during Golden Week, so it was nice to take a walk through the fields to Bell Hill in the evening. I'll be back next year!"

"Hotel is located next to ski ground, perched on a slope. Slope is slightly steep. About 15-20 min drive from Hakuba main station, depending on climate. The drive into tsugaike kogen during winter is scenic. But the snow could get heavy. There is a ski locker room to store ski boots and equipment. From the ski locker room , we went straight into the ski ground, which is extremely convenient. Price range in peak season is reasonable. There is a lounge which most guests will hang around. Beverages are readily available for self serve , the hot water is essential during winter. Free private carpark in front of hotel. But when the snow gets heavy, u have to shove off the snow yourself. We spent almost 1.5 hours clearing snow from our vehicle in order to exit. Food is average. But every staff in the hotel are warm and super nice. No regrets coming here. Rooms are a bit small though."

"I stayed here for two nights during the Obon holiday. The children in the next room and the owner's children were playing with me, which was very heartwarming. I usually don't eat white rice because I'm on a low-carb diet, but this was so delicious that I had seconds. "Our second stay at Espoir Misawa (see earlier review). Hospitality has not changed and remains as fabulous and friendly as it ever was. Clean rooms, just the same as last time in fact the whole place is just like our last stay. Such a handy place to ski in-out and not overly priced. Beds were still incredibly hard and this caused discomfort in the morning and we brought our own proper towels. Whilst the decor throughout is dated and old, the owners keep it well maintained and clean. If only they had softer beds this place would score 5 points easily."
