My family and I stayed at EuroParcs Marina Strandbad from October 1st to 6th 2024, booking the "Chalet type Waterlodge 4." Unfortunately, the first night was far from satisfactory. Upon arrival, we encountered a terrible sewage smell coming from the boat-house throughout the night. By morning, my 7-year-old had a headache, likely due to the odor. A technician who arrived to fix the non-functioning Wi-Fi and TV also commented on the smell. We were moved to the "Chalet type Cube la Mer 4," which we were told was an upgrade and that this costs 200€ more than the boathouse. By checking the price online, I was very surprised to see that actually the "Chalet type Cube la Mer 4" was cheaper than the boathouse we paid for. Furthermore, it was neither on the water nor as luxurious as the Waterlodge we booked. When I expressed my concerns to the manager of the front desk, she informed us that this was the only available accommodation. She also offered to refund the full amount and suggested that we could leave, which we found quite disappointing. As a gesture, she offered complimentary bread or croissants for the rest of our stay. This dismissive treatment left us feeling undervalued as guests. Only after I wrote to the managment of the EuroParcs the same lady from the front desk came back with 2 house options and a refund of 70€ as compensation. I would never recommend this accommodation again, as it has been my worst experience so far.
