Falls of Lora Hotel

房間很大，氣派，附近環境非常好，可以慢慢散步，自帶的飯店也不錯，就是需要預約，第二天沒預約就沒位了，幸好不遠處也有別的飯店

Everything at the hotel was excellent and to say it is off season, the service was excellent too. Eva made for a great reception. Everything was very clean and the evening meal/breakfast couldn't be faulted. The hotel was warm and friendly. Despite some ongoing redecorating the place ran like a clockwork. Thank you.

Unfortunately cannot comment on the food as we left before even sitting down! The waiter was rude and unhelpful. He was more concerned with his incoming table of six to be concerned with accommodating us or even being polite about the fact we were being seated in the back area away from the view, the fire and other guests and didn’t seem to understand I felt out of the nice atmosphere. He didn’t offer a table in an hour or any kind of alternative…or just even an understanding of my disappointment. Hey ho…went to the Oyster Inn along the road and the staff were lovely… friendly, accommodating and attentive.

This hotel offers a warm welcome, friendly efficient staff ,comfortable en suite bedrooms,delicious food in bistro environment and a wonderful view over the loch . There is also a bus service from outside the hotel into Oban . A local shop is two minutes walk away !! We loved our four night family time here . Hope to return someday !!

We had lovely overnight here. Staff were caring and friendly. Particularly the lovely waiter who served us breakfast, who went out of his way to make sure we had breakfast with a view. Thank you :) looking forward to coming back for a return visit.

Very large old building set back from the main road and over five miles from Oban. There's limited parking here so this may become a problem if you have mobility issues. The rooms are extremely basic and it seemed to me that every expense had been spared when there were renovated. Upon first entering my room I noticed a lingering smell of sewage in the bathroom, this dispersed when I left the fan on for two hours whilst I went for dinner in Oban. The TV was a tiny flat screen affair but the room itself was so small that it seemed to be in proportion. The over-bath shower set-up was okay but the bathroom itself was cramped and tiny. Breakfast was totally grim and inedible, I took one bite of each item and left the lot, it had very obviously been reheated in a microwave as it was molten hot. Additionally the teacups on my table showed brown stains so the cuppa was left too. When I was in my roomy there was a lot of noise bleed through from other rooms and disturbance from people in the corridor which was disturbing. For me, the biggest problem with Falls of Lora Hotel was that the bed and bedding all had a strong smell of a famous brand of antiseptic which rendered my pyjamas unusable for the rest of my trip. When I mentioned this particular smell to a member of staff she nodded, laughed and said 'it's because a lot of old people stay here'. The only positive for this depressing hotel was the endless good humour and pleasantness of the staff.
