This is the 2nd time I’ve stayed here and I would stay again, quite small rooms but have everything you need. Staff are friendly and helpful

Lovely hotel - couldn’t get a better location sadly let down by the size of the room (bathroom was ok) but bedroom was very tight. By far the worst problem was a lack of working air conditioning. It was a hot night and although an air con unit was in the room we couldn’t get it to work no matter what we tried. Due to the heat, sleep was a scarce commodity during our stay. If we’d have booked for longer than a night I would have not have slept in that room again if there was working no air con.

The good:
Very well located. Friendly & helpful staff. Clean rooms. Quiet surroundings.
The bad:
Very warm without much of a way to cool the room down. Shower was temperamental. Rather dated. Cramped room without many amenities.
The verdict:
3 stars. I probably won’t stay here again, but I wouldn’t be firmly against it.

The ground floor rooms have weird windows at the top of the wall as you’re a bit below ground level. However rooms are large, clean and have great bathrooms. Other guests made a bit of noise the night we were there which was a shame.

The hotel cancelled our dinner booking 22 minutes before we were due to eat "due to unforeseen circumstances", the electric sockets in our room failed/tripped out twice, and the phone in our room did not work at all.
As a seasoned travelling married couple, we have a reasonable idea what makes a nice stay at a well-run hotel, and this wasn't it.
Your reviewer cannot recommend this hotel.

The hotel was lovely and in a great Location. The room was spacious and was very clean & comfortable and the Lace Market was an excellent location.
The room however was very hot and the air-con position being behind a curtain made it hard to cool down in the evening.
We waited almost an hour for our breakfast, but they were busy and when it arrived it was good - but I wished we had gone to a local cafe instead. The staff were apologetic and friendly (but I still got charged!). I would stay again and would still recommend. Maybe they were just having an off day.

Booked as we were going to the Theatre & decided to make a night of it; nice & close to city centre & a 15 minute walk to the theatre. Parking was a 3 minute walk away. Very clean & tidy with nice selection of teas, coffee etc & 2 bottles of water. Would recommend the breakfast - absolutely lovely. Will definitely visit again

This is an individual hotel in a great area of Nottingham. The staff are super helpful and welcoming. Our room was comfortable although some of the furniture could do with updating and a number of the floor tiles in the bathroom were cracked. There is no car park but the Lace Market public car park is very close. There are many restaurants close to the hotel and so is convenient for going out in the evening. We liked this slightly quirky hotel and would recommend it.
