Naladhu Private Island

An amazing hotel, we stayed in February 2024 as a family of 4 and can only say positive things. The rooms were generously sized, the views and privacy amazing and the service from all the staff was exceptional. In particular Aslam and Thabbir ensured our stay was excellent with some amazing small touches. highly recommend.

This was the best vacation by far and although it is a luxury resort, total value for money! Being taken care of from end to end upon arrival at the airport and up till departure is certainly an experience and very assuring. We probably spent more time waiting for our luggage at the airport carousel than it took for us to be attended to in the lounge and transferred to the island via speedboat. The greeting at the arrival jetty was fabulous and the room was absolutely perfect - we looked and there wasn't a spot out of place or in need of repair or cleaning. Housekeeping is done twice a day and all your preferences are noted, even to the room temperature. We wanted to visit the main island before departure and they even arranged for a guide to go with us at no additional cost. And of course the beach is gorgeous with clear waters. The cherry on the cake is the food available on the island and its sister resorts - the variety, quality, and standard was shockingly good. This resort would be my top recommendation to anyone who is going to Maldives for the first time! :)

Cannot recommend more. What a fantastic location/island. I have been to maldives many times all in 5 star hotels. This is the best one to date. Great island, very private. Ocean villa superb, Staff are really amazing and food excellent. Lovely to visit the other two group islands for a walk/beer/lunch but you feel at home when you return to exclusive Naladhu. Staff very welcoming but discreet. We are coming back

Great resort and very respectful staff and helpful whenever you need anything. The food options are suitable to many cultures, they will provide you with a generous hospitality you feel like home. You can move among islands very easily and smoothly with boats and faster arrival

My wife, Jane, and I have just returned from two weeks at Naladhu private island. We have been to the Maldives many times. This is the best island that we have stayed at. It is truly paradise. Our ocean house was perfect with its pool, large decked area, big bathroom with large rainfall shower and steam room. You even check in and out in your room. No stress. Just so laid back. We booked to come back next year after only two days on the island. The no menu concept at the Living Room restaurant is inspired. You can have any dish cooked for you as long as the ingredients are in stock. We eat Maldivian, Sri Lankan and Pilipino dishes. The standout was chef Mikael's beef wellington followed by apple crumble and custard. We could also visit the sister islands of Veli and Dhigu and try their Thai, Indian, Japanese and Italian restaurants. The food was always superb in every place we ate. Breakfast can be eaten twenty four hours a day in the Living Room. If you have a late night and sleep in, there is no need to rush to make breakfast before it closes. A fantastic idea. A big thank you for our to our kuwaanu Evgeniia. She could not do enough for us. She was always at hand to sort out any issues, make restaurant reservations for us as well as making sure that our ocean house was cleaned while we were in breakfast or out for dinner. She even drove us to one of our dinner reservations in an electric buggy. A big mention also to Murphy, Fayad and Doston in the Living Room restaurant for making our holiday so special. Always happy to chat and get to know us. They were always so attentive. Especially remembering our usual drinks orders for breakfast, lunch and dinner, then serving it to us as soon as we sat down to eat. My wife and I decided to come back 1 year later to celebrate my 51st birthday. It was so nice to see familiar faces, like Shaaz (the resort manager), Doston (our server at the Living Room), and Murphy (the restaurant manager at the Living Room). At the same time, it was nice to meet new staff like Ibee, our Kuwaanu (butler), Falah with housekeeping, Michael (Head Chef at the Living Room) and Sabaah (server at the Living Room). Naladhu is truly one of the most private islands in the Maldives since there are only 20 villas. At the time we went, the island was almost fully occupied and yet we felt we had the whole island to ourselves. If you plan on eating off property, we highly recommend the Thai Restaurant, Baan Huraa, at the sister property, Anantara Veli. It is truly authentic. The restaurant staff are all from Thailand. Thank you Giip and Tippu, our servers at Baan Huraa. Finally, we would like to give special recognition to Murphy especially for personally preparing our Filipino Breakfast and to Doston for his outstanding service at the Living Room. Naladhu is truly a special place and we highly recommend staying here to anyone that is planning a trip to the Maldives.

We had an incredible stay at Naladhu. We couldn't fault the resort in any way. The staff are attentive, discrete, helpful. The resort is in the most beautiful setting with crystal clear waters and white sandy beaches. We could dine at Naladhu or take a short boat ride to Anantara Dhigu or Veli to eat at the restaurants there. Our fourth time visiting this resort and it's still an amazing place. From the moment you arrive to the boat back to Male, you are treated as part of the family. Thanks to Shaaz the Resort manager and the whole team who make the stay such a delight. They can't do enough for you. We stayed in a lagoon villa as prefer the water to be flat rather than the ocean side. You can use the other 2 Anantara resort facilities if you wish which is good if you fancy something different. The food is lovely as you can imagine and what is great is you can order on or off the menu. We can't wait to get back there for another amazing stay. If you like a very small island with peace and quiet then this is the place for you.
