Waterwoods Lodge Kabini

Excellent location with fantastic views of the Kabini backwaters and all of our three rooms had beautiful views of the Kabini. Well maintained facilities and excellent staff who are always smiling and looking after the needs of the guests. Definitely I’ll be back.

We stayed in Magnolia room from 8th Nov for 2 nights. The property is very clean, and rooms are clean with a wonderful view. The food is very tasty and suitable for all pallets. The lunch and dinner buffet is quite a spread for both non veg and veg patrons. One or two continental dishes are there. Room service and housekeeping departments are very prompt. Staff is super courteous and very helpful. The pool is nicely maintained and clean. They have on spot boat rides and kayaking at a nominal charge. Net net very content. One thing that needs to be improved is the desert options for the lunch and dinner service. I strongly recommend this property with my experience of staying in Room Magnolia. A boutique property that is aptly named- it’s located in the water n in the woods. A very earthy and pastoral ambience wrapped in incessant bird calls and the lapping of water on the shores. A great crew at all 3 fronts - reception, house keeping and dining.

The resort was so peaceful and serene. It faced the river and was within the forest. The staff was very friendly and welcoming. They were supportive and were able to accommodate for any needs. Devraj, the tour guide was very helpful and got us a tour in the morning for the safari. We were able to see Indian gour, wild dogs, and a big cat.

Would recommend Waterwoods by Kabini as it brings a level of luxury and comfort to a safari natural environment. The rooms are well appointed, the meal plan, pool area and dining area are simple but that’s all you need when you are in a stunning natural surrounding. The location is also good as it’s quite close to the forest access point. Recommend taking at least 3 safaris - one boat, one land zone A (for tigers) and one land zone B (for elephants). Service was great throughout the staff are very thoughtful and want you to enjoy your stay.

Best location you can think of for a relaxing break in the lap of nature, perfect for nature lovers, this place is a must visit if you’re in or around Bangalore/ Mysore. All facilities and services were outstanding with a scope for improvement in the below areas, that will definitely make this place a perfect dreamy experience, my suggestions: 1. The bathroom fixtures and fittings need to be replaced, they’re quite old and the spots, etc is a definite put off and you’re probably losing customers for simple things like cleanliness. 2. Frequent power unavailability is again not a good experience for ppl who are here for a no stress experience. 3. The bed linens , pillow covers too were spotty and though they appeared to be washed but seeing spots on pillow covers is definitely unpleasant. 4. Though the central restaurant serves amazing flavorful food, I’d love it if they could serve minimal options of food even during the off hours. The restaurant timing is fixed and it’s a little scary and stressful to think you might just miss a meal in case you overslept or are late because of a safari or there are older folks who might want to eat more frequently, I think a little flexibility around restaurant hours and food options should make the mind feel more relaxed:) You guys are doing a fab job and overall experience was amazing.
