Monterey Bay Suites

Staff was great and attentive to my needs. The pools were clean and the lazy river had the floating rings. The breakfast was ok but the cooks gave great service and were super friendly. The room was ocean front with a full kitchen fully stocked withal the utensils I needed to make dinner. Had an amazing time here can’t wait to go back.

Parking garage was the most convenient that I have stayed in. Driving to the floor and parking near the room was so convenient and appreciated! Closets were not cleaned by staff and had roaches.

Place had roaches, walls were dirty, online photos were very misleading, holes in walls and the list goes on. Best thing was the view

Overall the hotel was pretty clean although dated. The amenities for families was great with the indoor and outdoor pools and hot tubs. Some renovations were ongoing throughout, which is a good sign of updating. A lot of hotels charge for breakfast and parking but they are free here.

This is really an awesome property. We went with my so. And his family and it was perfect for both the kids and the grandparents. Plenty for the kids to do and a beautiful balcony overlooking the ocean and plenty of hot tubs to choose from. Our specific room had a couple of issues and they really need to do something about the tv service, but overall, we would definitely stay GIn

We had a overnight stay, room had a off smell to it and no lights (2 lamps) floor was sticky! Breakfast was fair for December being a slow time but also a busy morning and could offered more! Pool isn’t warm and kept clean

I am very disappointed in the breakfast because it definitely went downhill. A variety of hot foods (sausage, onions/peppers and waffles) use to be served along with fresh fruits. Not sure what happen but it’s not what it use to be. We came in the winter time and the heat in the room wasn’t working at first so maintenance had to come. The tv remotes did not work and the ice maker kept over flooding with ice. Overall the room was comfy but definitely don’t think we will be coming back to Monterey Bay.

The room need some updated, having a running toliet keep putting water in the toliet for it to flush. when it was report I was told it's fix or wait until the tank fills up. I was not ask to move to another room. This is my first time staying and the last, will not recommend.

This was a solo birthday trip. The parking lot is very tight, with steep ramps. If it's been raining, and you have bad tires, you might not make it up. They do have ground level parking for oversized vehicles, though. At check in, there was a gentleman at the small desk - I stated I was checking in, he asked for my ID and looked at a sheet of paper. Then the young lady that was straightening the dining area went behind the big desk....to check me in. They knew each other, were pleasant, and joked a lot....but I don't know what the first person needed my id for. Check in was easy. I asked for an upper floor and thankfully they had a room on level 14. The room was generally okay, but it needed a deep clean. Lots of smudges on the windows, walls and doors. Around the toilet base was dirty. Hair still on the floor. Etc. I was afraid to move the curtains, figured they were full of dust. The door from the bedroom to the kitchen was damaged. The balcony door didn't lock properly. I absolutely loved the view. The kitchen was stocked with plates, utensils, etc. There was the king bed, then a Murphy and couch in the living room. The pool is indoor/outdoor, and was heated, which allowed for a lovely December nighttime swim. There is also a rooftop pool and hot tub on the 10th floor. I wouldn't bring anything of value and maintain awareness, the room doors and parking lot are open to the public. Would be good for a family/group trip. I plan to return - with cleaning supplies.
