Mint House Miami - Downtown

We had rented two rooms for a group of 12. One room was complicated to check into. We arrived early at the property and Anna kindly assisted us with storing our luggage. This was much appreciated. Our rooms were ready a bit early. One room was fine, the other smelled of Burger King and fried foods. I asked for some assistance with this issue and was told they’d send cleaning products. This never happened when I suggested they change our room, I was told they would try to do that and then heard back the next day that it was not possible. The property is in mediocre condition. It looks like they try and keep it clean but it needs work. There are also ALOT of dogs. I would not rebook.

The place itself was amazing. But I had a huge issue and apparently all the places are individually owned so the front desk couldn’t help me. My code to the room didn’t work. And there’s no individual to call if you have an issue. It took me just short of an hour to get into the room from when I realized the code didn’t work. It was incredibly frustrating and kept me from doing something I wanted to do.

Check-in was a breeze and felt right at home! Will DEFINITELY be looking to stay here the next time I am in Miami.

The building is called Muze but the booking is under Mint House. Even with GPS, the building was hard to find. The online checkin was easy but a bit intrusive. They require a background check. We were sent an email with the checkin information. This gave us checkin time and a door code. Our checkin time was 3:30. We arrived around 3:45. The room was being cleaned when we arrived. There were cans of red bull and was extremely dirty. There were a pair of dirty panties on the floor. It appeared as a party took place the night prior. Needless to say the room was not ready. The cleaning women asked to give her an hour to finish up. We walked around a few blocks and got an early dinner. We came back approximately 40 minutes later with pizza. The room was sol not clean so we ate dinner on the balcony. Another 30 minutes later the cleaning lady left. We started to explore the room after and found most floors were not clean. My 2 sons were going to use the pull out sofa. When we moved the coffee table it was apparent that the room was not very clean. The sheets on the sofa were black in spots. The tv did not have a remote and the only way to use it was with a Roku. At this point I called the main number to see if we could switch rooms. The number went to a main number and not our specific location. The lady on the phone apologized for the room and informed us they had no additional rooms and assured us someone would call us back. No one ever did! For the price I expected much more!

Such an amazing property for us to stay with friends prior to our cruise out of the Miami port. Easy to get in, great amenities, picture perfect! Will definitely be back and will definitely send clients here as well!

Instructions on entry left out how to use elevators to get to room. Valet lot has height restriction and had to park at a different garage. Otherwise great value. Beautiful place! Great decor lots of space. Great view! Would stay again the other items are just informational as I don’t want anyone else to drive around downtown Miami for parking or riding elevators. lol. Will stay again but with a lower vehicle and know how to get to room now 🙂

The check-in process was terrible…the worst in 30+years of traveling. Too cumbersome, invasive (background check, additional deposit required, no one available to process check-in, almost an hour to get through it) painful.

Place was amazing! Only issue was the shampoo dispenser was broken and we had no shampoo. I called and texted Mint House and was told twice that someone would bring some. No one ever did. I’ll bring my own next time….cause it was still worth coming back!

Hotel was great clean and close to my favorite store whole food. The only negative think I have to mention is that we didn’t have internet and couldn’t get our phones or the TV connected to WiFi. I called customer service and someone was supposed to call me back but I never got a call back and the next day we checked out already. Overall great experience at Mint House. Will book again.
